Can I use my TV as a second monitor for my laptop using an HDMI cable?

Yeah sure you can as long as the Philips TV has an HDMI input (which it almost certainly will)
All you would need then is an HDMI lead
I have heard of several dv6 users having problems getting HDMI to work when using Windows 7 but apparently if you update the GFX drivers directly from nVidia it will sort it
