What is the polite way to ask a woman if she is still a virgin?

Update:

I'm asking this question because I feel its mean to get a girl interested in me and then find out she isn't a virgin and have to tell her that I can't take things any farther because it is against my beliefs wait till marriage.

Update 2:

Yahoo Answers hiccuped on my while I was typing that last detail. It should say "it IS my belief to wait till marriage" NOT "against my beliefs..."

Get comfortable enough with her to start talking about past relationships and what she feels that it should be built off of, then ease into the topic of sex and the importance of a relationship. Act nonchalant about it and believe be partner numbers will emerge.

    Good luck honey.

There's really no other way to say it then straight out..

I don't really take it disrespectful. It's just a question to me.

But just let her know not to take it the wrong way before asking I guess.

nope there is no polite way. your beliefs are yours but you should know that u really limit yourself with future partners by being like that. just because someone has sex does not make them unworthy

There is no polite way...it's not your business unless you are her doctor and need to know for medical reasons, or you and she are close enough to have discussed the possibility of having sex with each other..then you'd have the right to know (but she may or may not choose to share that info, and that's her right)...
