Need honest opinion on recent tattoo “touch up”?
Would prefer a tattoo artist’s opinion. Long story short: took a realistic portrayal of Disney’s Pocahontas to my artist to have tattooed on me along with a realistic raccoon to portray Meeko. The first session was good looked like Pocahontas. The following week, the second session also went good, look even more so like her. The third session unfortunately took me a year to have completed due to financial jargon. Saturday, I was finally able to finish the tattoo. However, my artist decided to “touch up” a few areas. After seeing the result I’m honestly not happy. She no longer looks like Pocahontas. My main concern is the “touch up” he did on her nose. I asked him how that would turn out after it healed, focusing on how bulbous her nose looked after the touch up and he said “yeah it’ll look fine after it heals”. I’m trying very hard to trust the process as it’s only the second day but it just doesn’t sit right with me. It just looks weird now. Professional opinions please and if he ****** up let me know if there’s anything I can do to have it fixed. Thanks.
Tattoos10 months agoLooking for an affordable apartment without compromising my and my daughter's safety?
Why are decent (emphasis on DECENT) apartments so ridiculously priced? I can't see myself being able to afford rent any more than $1100/month but even that isnt enough to get me an okay apartment in a non-compromising area. I currently live near the border of Chino and Ontario Ca. It's a decent area. No real crime but there are just one too many people under one roof, tension is rising, and my mother is very abusive. I have to leave but every apartment near there is either WAY too compromising. (my fancy word for "ghetto") or WAY too high end. There is no in-between. All I'm asking is for an apartment that is safe enough where my car won't get broken into once a month and I don't have to hear crack heads talking to themselves outside my window. I don't see why that has to cost more than $1100. My options are kind of small. I can't really consider a roommate because in light of my daughter living with us there would be restrictions that I doubt any independent person would wanna deal with. (i.e. random visitors, loud music/tv, cursing, etc..) and I can't do studios. The space is just way too small for me and my daughter and really, mostly compromising areas are the only ones to offer studios anyway. I'm just looking for a decent 1 bedroom apt. in a decent area. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
2 AnswersRenting & Real Estate5 years agoMom and dad have dimples. Baby does not. What gives?
I've always known for dimples to be a dominant trait (although considered a "deformity") but I've always loved and appreciated mine with how many compliments I get on them. Both the father of my child and I have dimples on BOTH cheeks and they are very deep. You could practically eat cereal off our faces. So when I was pregnant with my little one I was sure she would have them too. But they're doesn't seem to be any real sign of them on her face since she was born. She is now a month old and I still don't see anything. She doesn't smile all that often. She more or less just smirks making it hard to really tell if there's is or isn't anything there. My question is could it be possible that they'll show up later when she starts smiling more often or should I just let go of the idea?
Thanks for the help. No rude answers please!
8 AnswersNewborn & Baby5 years agoNew puppy scared of my friendly, senior dog?
We recently brought home our brand new Australian Cattle Dog puppy yesterday and this morning I decided I would try and introduce him to our 15 y/o Rat Terrier/Staffy mix. My senior has been introduced to a puppy once before but that wasn't a problem because she was a female and he's very partial to the younger ladies so their relationship was a success.
My new pup is a male and is only about 9 weeks. The first introduction was a little nerve-racking because my senior just seemed a little TOO excited and it was already making the pup nervous. I left pup in a crate and let senior sniff and explore all he wanted without getting near pup but pup started crying so I ended it. I tried again a couple hours later using a different method. I sat on the floor with pup in my lap and senior on a leash. I got senior to calm down a bit so I felt more confident that he would be respectful of pup. Pup wanted nothing to do with senior and was very scared when senior started sniffing and following him. Eventually when senior actually touched pup (nose to backside) pup whimpered as if he had been attacked and coward away to my bedroom! I was very disappointed and felt my senior was too. I didn't see any signs of aggression from senior (no growling, no lip curling, no snapping etc) and senior isn't all that huge or scary looking compared to pup. So what could be the problem?
3 AnswersDogs5 years agoCan someone interpret my dream?
I dreamt that my father was killed in front of me. (Shot in the chest to be exact.) there was no face to the murderer. All I saw was a gun. And the bullet being shot into my father. I also dreamt of myself at his funeral crying. My bestfriend (whom my father adopted into the family) and mother were also in the dream. Can someone please interpret my dream? I'm somewhat concerned. I've never had significant dreams like this. I would like to know what it means. I appreciate any insight that you have to offer. Please no rude answers. Thank you.

3 AnswersMovies7 years agoHow will a perm effect my straight healthy hair?
I have straight, decently well kept hair..(it's not perf, but a lot of girls would kill to have the moisture my hair holds) anyway..I LOVE styling it in tight kinky curls! (I use about a half-inch curling iron)..but it takes me 3 HOURS to style! And it only lasts me 2 days..everyone loves my hair styled that way..and I obviously love it but I rarely ever do it because of the time it takes to do..so I've been considering getting a perm. But the more I look into the more I find out how much damage it cause to the hair..that's not necessarily my concern..I'm just scared that my hair will forever be dry and nappy. So my question is, will I be able to get my hair back to its natural state when the perm has died down? Or will I ruin my hair for life? Also if there are ways to keep my hair healthy after the perm I would LOVE to know any tips or remedies you might know of. (No rude answers) Please and thank you!

In a couple weeks I will be visiting a friend that I haven't seen in awhile. According to Amtrack, I will be leaving from Ontario at 6am be in Bakersfield around 9:45 and catch another train that will get me to Fresno by noon. I'm a bit nervous considering I've never taken a train before and I will be alone. I plan to buy my ticket online. But when I get tithe station who do I give the ticket to? How will I know which train to get on? Is it safe? Can I bring food? What are the rules about carry on? If anyone can give me a general scenario of what to expect or any tips or warnings that would be great! Please and thank you!
5 AnswersRail8 years agoGuy I'm dating wants me to test him?
I've been talking to this guy for awhile and he basically began testing me the day we met to see if I was really the woman I claimed to be. To see if I was basically the type of woman he's looking for; a REAL woman. But now he's asking me, as a favor, to test him back. Play with his head a little bit to prove to myself as well as him if he can pass my tests and show he's a real man. I thought it was a bit odd since I'm not one to play head games at all but I figured I'd try my best since its for a positive cause. But I don't know how to test him? Does anyone have any ideas of how I can test him as a man, relationship wise or in general? Or test him to see how well he can handle me? Any ideas would be great! Please and thank you!

I really suck at math and the job discription for a promotion I've been offered is really skimpy on the details...I'll be working 5-6 hours a day, 5 days a week. I get paid bi-weekly, and no paid vacations..if any of that information helps.
3 AnswersOther - Business & Finance8 years agoMy mom won't stop feeding my dog left-overs and expired food!?
My dog is a 12 year old terrier mix and needs all the nutrients he can get at his age. He's had a history of bloating and constipation in the past due to what my mom lets him eat. She'll give him left-overs from last night's dinner which I don't feel is too bad but she's gone as far as giving him food that has gone bad or has expired! She treats him like a garbage disposal. I get so upset with her when she does this. We've already been warned by our vet to stop. Just recently I found out that she gave him an old open packet of ham that I know has been in our fridge for almost 7 months now! She insists that she did the same thing with her dogs as a child and they lived to be 15 years old. But it's not about my dog just living, I want him to live HEALTHY. How can I get her to understand that?? Or at any rate, how can I keep her away from my dog? -_____-
Also if there's maybe any certain dog food that would be good in nutrients and health for my dog it would be great if you could give me some brand names or words to look for when buying dog food. Please and thanks.
5 AnswersDogs8 years agoShould I continue to go with the flow or slow his roll? Advice needed! 10 POINTS!?
So when we first met we had instant chemistry and talked about relationships and how we wanted to go about a potential one. We both agreed to get to know each other as friends first and just take things slow. (Keep in mind the friends first thing was HIS idea.) It's been a month but our relationship is far from just friends..basically since the day we've met he's insisted on asking each other relationship based questions and questions based on him and I being in a potential relationship. But when I brought up the matter of us either talking or still friends he said we were still friends. I discussed it with him explaining to him that the things he talks about and the amount of flirtation between us is not how friends act. He is very respectful and agreed to what I was saying and apologized. But we still continue to flirt. I know he likes me and clearly I like him but I'm just confused as to how he claims that he wants to take things slow but yet gives off the impression of moving just a bit faster than that. We both agreed on taking this step by step. How can I bring this to his attention without making him feel like I'm not interested or don't like him. I just don't want there to be confusion later. And I don't want to fall for something that ends up not being there later.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating8 years agoShould I just let things take their course or should I slow his roll? Please help?
So I met this guy online almost a month ago (We'll call him J). So when we first met each other he kind of just got right to the point with questions like "Are you single?" "Am I your type?" Etc. and we ended up texting and later calling each other that same night. It seemed like instant chemistry. So we had talked about just being friends for now (keep in mind this was HIS idea) and if everything seems right and we really get to know each other then we could actually start talking. Which I thought was perfect because I wanted to take things slow. But we never really talked as friends. He would insist on my questions being relationship based and he said to ask him questions that were based on him and I being in a potential relationship. So I took this as we were actually talking but I still didn't mind because we were still taking things slow trying to get to know each other but last night after not speaking for a few days (because of a personal issue he was going through) I felt as though he was talking to me different. Like it was completely friendly and not how we usually talk which was mostly flirtatious. So I asked him if "We were still talking or do just want to be friends?" And he was completely confused and told me that we never were talking and that we WERE just friends. And you could imagine how confused I was at that point. So we discussed it and I explained to him how the way he would talk to me and the things he expected from me were not how friends act. He agreed and apologized and I just excepted it and was fine with it. It didn't make any difference to me. We were still taking things slow. But he continues to be very flirtatious to me and in my head I just want to tell him "Hey if we're only friends then act like one." But I'm not sure I should just make an exception due to the fact that we both like each other..so should I just let things be the way they are or slow his roll? I really don't mind either way I just don't want there to be any confusion again later..Any advice would be helpful. Please and thank you.
1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoIs he really interested/into me?
So I met this guy (we'll call him N) online a couple months ago and when we first started talking it was pretty great. It was very casual yet very flirtatious and it seemed like a good start to something that I haven't had in a long time. Well, a few weeks ago it had changed. He began to text/call less. At first I thought he was perhaps trying to test me because he would always text/call/FaceTime first so I began to initiate the conversation. But it seemed like now I was the only one doing it and I just stopped. He does text me maybe every other day or every couple days and he will FaceTime me everytime he gets the chance but when he does he really doesn't try too hard to keep the conversation going. Example, if I ask him how his day is going he'll reply back with a "it was ok." And he won't bother asking me how mine went or try to progress the conversation any further. I have asked him if he is actually interested in me and he says he is. But he hasn't bothered to really show me. I still haven't seen him (except on FaceTime) but I have really been wanting to meet him in person. (He lives an hour away) the reason we couldn't meet up at first was because he had just gotten some surgery done on his knee and couldn't drive at all last month. And unfortunately for me I have no car to visit him myself. But his leg is now heeled and has been for a few weeks now. He always tells me we need to hang out but when I bring up the matter of "when?" He brushes it off with an idk..I'm just very confused because he does flirt with me and says he likes me yet there's times where he makes it seem like I annoy him which is why I've backed off. At times I wonder if he's waiting for me to start my new job (in 3 days) because he has run into a lot of gold diggers and perhaps wants to make sure I am an independent woman who has no interest in his money? If that's the case I would understand but I just don't know. I really don't want to waste my time because I'm very attracted to this guy and I don't want to get ahead of myself and look like an idiot like I have in the past with other men. He seems like a very sweet, genuine, hard-working guy so I don't see why he would just give me the run-around. Can someone help me understand a man's point of view? I would really like to know if I even have a chance with this guy. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Please and Thank you (:
1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoFirst time on a train.."not getting any help in the right section)..help me please?
I live in Montclair and need to get to Sun Valley. According to the Metrolink website I will have to depart from Pomona union station, get off at Los Angeles Union station and depart once again from there to Lancaster union station. The trip is estimated to be a little over 2.5 hours. Anyway I have no problem with figuring out how to find my way and make sure I take the right train (I'm sure their employees/condutor will be glad to help)..my main question is will I need to pay for each train? My friend said it's 18$ to go to Los Angeles AND back. Will I need to pay another 18$ or more to take the second train to Lancaster? Or is there maybe an "all-day" pass I could purchase like they do on buses? Any feedback would be great. Please and Thank you.

1 AnswerRail8 years agoCan a report this person for blackmail?
I have this so-called "friend" that I no longer want anything to do with but he has something of mine that I've been trying to get back for a while. But he's been threatening to destroy it and is trying to use it to get me to have anal sex with him. I'll be honest, what he has of mine is nothing more than a blanket but it has a lot of sentimental value and he knows how much it means to me. I really don't want to degrade myself to get my property back. But I'm not sure how to even go about reporting this..Can I even report him? I have text messages that can prove he's been threatening me and attempting to blackmail me..Could this help me get my property back without letting him get his way? And what are the consequences for blackmail anyway? Please help me. This is really embarrassing for me but I just don't know what to do.. :/
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics8 years agoDo I have a reasonable claim to report to human resources?
I am currently employed at Subway. Well to my knowledge I am but I haven't been scheduled to work in almost twos months. I've called every week and my name isn't even on the schedule but according to my manager I am still employed and that my boss is trying to get me to quit. Before this I was only working once every couple weeks but when I first started I was getting almost 40 hours a week. Not bad for "part time" job. But a few months ago I wasn't able to come into work under any circumstances. So I called off 3 hours ahead of time. I've been told my boss HATES when people call off. But this was the first and LAST time I planned to ever call off and I figured she'd understand. But ever since then she's had a vendetta towards me and has been trying to get me to quit. At least that's what my manager says. Im not sure if she'd be willing to testify against her though on the account that would most likely lose her job. I refuse to quit until I find another job which sadly hasn't been easy but this woman is crazy. I have co-workers willing to join me in my claim and take her down. This woman is nothing but a crook. For example she doesn't give us our MANDATORY 15 minute breaks every 4 hours. She gives us 10 minute breaks if the store isn't busy and if we "deserve it". Also she has recently found a way out of giving us a mandatory 30 minute break every 6 hours by scheduling us for 5.78 hours. And I'm not exactly sure if this is illegal or not but when I tried applying for unemployment to supplement my hours I was told that unemployment taxes weren't even being taken out of my check. I took a look into my checks stubs and sure enough it was true. But I'm certain if it is mandatory or not..? Anyway I'm tired of this woman taking advantage of her employees. I am a hard worker and don't deserve to be punished for an irrelevant personal vendetta to which I did not even start. But I just don't know if us few employees have a successful claim on our hands.
