Countdown 6 days - how to keep busy and take my mind off things?

I'm counting down to my next OB appointment where I'll find out my date for induction/planned cesarean due to being a high-risk pregnancy. I am 36+1 and finding it difficult to concentrate on anything but when my next appointment will be because I'm so uncomfortable. I'm a stay at home mum to a two year old little girl and I find it difficult enough to clean the house, make dinner, get engaged in play time with her and take her for walks let alone do much else. I feel like I'm going insane doing the same thing day in, day out and with my fiance working full-time it's usually just me and my daughter at home.

Does anybody have any recommendations to take my mind off 'the countdown' and on to something more positive? xx.

I'm 37 wks pregnnant with number 2 also and I am also having trouble entertaining my 2 yr old daughter. So here are some of my suggestions I am just so thankful my daughter is still having a nap during the day so i can as well because I am just so exhausted. Most days we go out somewhere in the morning because I find the day goes quicker if I do this and it also exhausts her. I have been really slack though the last few weeks and I just go to an indoor playcentre like mcdonalds and she plays with the other kids while I sit there and have a cup of tea and some cake. Or some days we just go to a park where she can climb most of the equipment by herself. and on Thursdays we go to playgroup and most of the other mums are really helpful and will help me out. And then she also goes to day care 2 days a week which is really the best thing for for both of us because I use those days to recover. I do feel guilty that I'm not doing craft and stuff with her so on Mondays I dedicate the day to those activities. we always bake something, do painting, play together and that way I don't feel like she is missing out on that.

As far as cleaning the house...... well I'm not really bothering. I stopped vaccuming at about 36 weeks. and I am not picking stuff off the floor. the house looks messy and I know my husband doesn;t like it, but at the end of the day this baby and my sanity is more important to me.

Some of the things I have been doing is preparing stuff for christmas, like wrapping presents, and getting ready the christmas decorations. because remember there is also a count down to that as well and once that baby comes. Christmas will creep up very quickly. I've also cooked lots of meals and put them in the freezer to make life easier when baby comes.

So just some ideas.... good luck!!!!

Your and mine situation is almost same in the case of count down.. relax ur mind its ur 2nd baby so u must not b as worried .. you must go outside with ur daughter or in ur neighbour-hood , ur mom house .. mean spend some time with other people some time playing with ur daughter, or spend some time in ur religious activities etc.

for adult males, enjoying information superhighway video games may lead them to forget all that hassle them. exceptionally those RPGs, such because of the fact the Wars set in 3 Kingdoms is crammed with conflict. once you come back in that interest, you finally end up belong to that visional international.
