What are some traditional desserts to make for Christmas?

This is probably the first Christmas that my daughter will actually remember it and I'm hosting for the first time. I want to pick a few desserts to fix for Christmas that will become traditions from here on out. I want to pick things that are very traditional. I'll probably make Lane cake. Any other ideas?

Update:

Lol, your family sure does like the peanut butter!

Thanks guys!

We have several things we like to make. We also make peanut butter balls, LOL. Coconut orange balls. Pound cake. Cherry cheesecake. Pecan pie. Lemon bars (yummy!) Graham cracker crunchies Gingerbread men. Sugar cookies in Christmas shapes. (easy and fun to make for little ones to help cut out and decorate with sprinkles.) My friend makes Rice Krispie Treats, tints them green, adds small red candies for berries and forms them into little wreaths. They look great made with corn flakes rather than Krispies. Fruit cake is traditional, although not too many people actually *like* fruit cake. Trifle. Spiced cider (not desert, but a traditional drink as opposed to eggnog, yuk! Or hot chocolate. On Christmas morning we make breakfast turtles, using canned biscuits rather than making dough. Easy and fast and delicious. Have fun with the baking, it is one of my favorite parts of the season, Well, making them and then eating them!

It has to be Christmas pudding with cream! Yum! When my children were young, they didn't like Christmas pud, and I used to do a dessert called 'Flaming Vesuvius'. It's basically a Baked Alaska made with a sponge flan case topped with Tutti-Frutti ice-cream and meringue. You set half an empty eggshell (washed out thoroughly and sterilised with boiling water) in the top of the meringue mixture before you put it in the oven. Once the meringue is browned, you pour a spoonful of warmed brandy into the eggshell and light it before bringing it to the table. It is dramatic and different enough for a pudding substitute, and the kids used to love it!

In my family, it's a tradition that we made brownies Christmas Eve before getting dressed for church. We all help out with making them! Also, we make sugar cookies with pepper mints in them!
