Since the founder of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society said?
"If I ever have to ask for donations to continue the work, I will know that it is Jehovah's time to stop." Why is the work continuing? Have you listened to the message lately. "The tract is free, but we do accept contributions. Gimme, Gimme, Gimme.!"
hecked the format. on yahoo answers, one person asks a question, others answer. If you want to comment, do that after you answer the question. And, remember that, although you are a big believer in the WB&T's teachings, you are way, way, way in the minority.

Although they no longer ask for donations, they do accept them. That is because the individual JW has to pay for his parcel of Watchtower Magazines. Let's say he pays 50 dollars and gets 12 dollars in donations. Is he only out 38 bucks? No. He has to pay the full 50 plus give his donation to the Watchtower. It's sad how these people are abused. Most are high school graduates or below. They cannot afford this financial abuse. But they suffer patiently at the dictatorship of the Governing Body.

It is unfortunate that you do not see how freely Jehovah's people give of their time and resources to help others. The work is continuing, as you put it because Jehovah wants it to continue. And it will continue until the end of this system and all wickedness is done away with.
And, the founder is Jesus himself, so you are wrong on that count too. Here is why we are busy in our ministry:
Matthew 28:19, 20 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.
We do not hold up in a church, waiting in case someone drives by and decides to come in. We actively go out and teach people the scriptures from their own Bible.
Another scripture that shows this:
Romans 10:12-15 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for there is the same Lord over all, who is rich to all those calling upon him. For "everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved." However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach? How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent forth? Just as it is written: "How comely are the feet of those who declare good news of good things!"
So, I hope you do listen to the message and it has nothing to do with money.

You could try to get the quote correct:
‘Zion’s Watch Tower’ has, we believe, JEHOVAH for its backer, and while this is the case it will never beg nor petition men for support. When He who says: ‘All the gold and silver of the mountains are mine,’ fails to provide necessary funds, we will understand it to be time to suspend the publication.”
I do seriously doubt your story as everyone I have ever been with in the ministry does not mention donations unless specifically asked. The fact that you so readily quote (or misquote) someone from 1879 betrays your intentions.
Jehovah's Witnesses' literature remains free as does attending their meetings. No collections are taken and nobody is forced to contribute. Rustic B is completely wrong in his assertions that we have to purchase literature and take a loss if we don't collect on placement.
Keep spreading lies at your own risk. You are showing yourselves enemies of Jehovah.

Gospel workers give tracts at least free of cost. But JW"s give everything for money only. I had a visitor from Jehovah witness. He gave me three books and he is supposed to leave. But didn't and wait for something. I asked him why not moving out. He said, he needs money. He only gave me the books...but asking me money for it. I said, I don't need it. Still he insisted me to take it and needs money.
Somehow I managed to chuck him out. This is my experience. Your founder may be had such vision. But followers are making money.
But Bible says, labourers need to be given their reward.

We are way in the minority? .... interesting
Matthew 7:13,14
"Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it"
