What do you make of the latest allegations against Colin Campbell?

Update:

actually, LITY, I think the farm more damning part is the way he lashed out at refs for not giving Gregory Campbell the benefit of the doubt (not letting him get away w/ questionable calls)

I think that this is just proof that fines and suspensions need a committee to rule on these type of infractions. You also need someone who is not emotionally tied to the game as Campbell is with his son playing. I think it should be a three person committee of retired players or coaches that meet on these hits directly with the players to outline why the hit was or was not deemed suspension/fine worthy. They could hold the meetings once a week, every week throughout the season. That way any bias could be dismissed by the other two members. I think this would bring a lot of stability to a shaky system currently in place by the NHL

  • Having read most, if not nall of the transcripts involved in the hearing, this is somebody who is selectively picking out pieces of evidence to make his case stick, something Warren was unable to do in front of a judge (see #209 of the labour board's decision)

While Dellow has picked out a 'few' of the more than 4000 correspondence items to make his case, MOST of the emails don't depict that at all.

Ask Savard's fellow NHLPA brethren what they think of Savard, and you will get an awful lot of responses similar to Campbells.

The problem for Savard wasn't that he was hit by Cooke, but that he is a known embellisher that has him targeted from that sense.

This happens all the time.......the little kid in the classroom whines every time someone makes a face at him/her and eventually people get desensitized. When something of a more serious nature occurs, it gets summarily dismissed due to the little kid's reputation. Nobody calls for the head of the teacher.

Savard's the victim of his own capers here. Yes, it's unfortunate that he was hit by Cooke, but this isn't the first time something like this has happened.

You make your bed......now you have to lie in it.
