I go to add music to my empty rca th101 mp3 player and it says it can't add songs as it is full.?

I go to add music to my rca th101 mp3 player and it says it can't add songs as it is full. (The mp3 player has NO files on it...) I've tried on my mac mini (1st generation with mac os x) and my acer laptop (with windows 7). It only has two folders on it. They are the "Settings" folder and the "Voice" folder. There is no "Music" folder. Is this the problem? If so how do i recover the file? If it's not, then how do i fix it? PLEASE help me! I can't afford a new player.... I simply CAN'T survive without my music!

    Some ideas:

Check the manufactuer website for a firmware update, and follow the instructions

Also look in the manual for a factory reset to default

Make sure the voice folder isn't full of recordings

Folders - organize - view hidden files (ensure there are not a bunch of hidden music files taking up space)

Try putting just the smallest file song you have on it by itself, see if it works

Ask a nerdy friend for help
