What will be Manny's game plan against a fighter like Mayweather?

I see Pac using his footwork to get on the inside with Mayweather and forcing him to exchange. You're right that Pac's never faced someone with a similar style as Mayweather, a defensive whiz, but I think you would also have to point out that Mayweather's never faced someone with a similar skillset as Pacquiao. Most of Pac's opponents say the same thing, which is, they couldn't see the punches coming from all the crazy angles and he just peppers them with power shots. Mayweather may be a defensive wizard, and he could counter a lot of Pac's offensive prowess, but Pac matches Mayweather's handspeed, throws punches and bunches, and has a solid chin. The pot shots that Mayweather's done in the past, one or two punch combinations won't be able to keep Pac at bay. I think the key is Pac's footwork/footspeed. The way he darts in and out of range from different angles left me in awe and I think that'll be part of the game plan for Money...to come in at a different angle, throw a combination and force him to exchange. If you look at the Margarito fight/ the Cotto fight (obvious not on the same level with Money), he was out of range, then all of a sudden, in a blink of an eye, he was on the inside throwing combinations. I was amazed. I think Pac wins a tough, controversial split decision based on the fact that he'll be awarded rounds because he'll be the agressor.

Manny can take effective so a lot more advantageous acceptable than Floyd, verify out his fights with Marquez and lately with Margarito. One hit by Mosley contained in the early rounds were given Mayweather in difficulty, i have under no circumstances seen something like that with Manny. I have no idea why Marquez keeps targetting Floyd's head. Perhaps because he knows he has no power to hurt him in the body? But he can't get to Floyd's head because Floyd did know how to use his reach advantage, unlike some other tall guys.

Pac needs to fight like Mike Tyson and crouch low. At the same time, he needs patience because Floyd won't allow many opportunities to get him.

Lastly, Pac needs to be wary of Floyd's offense. A very underestimated quality in Floyd's game is his ability to attack. You can't go into this fight and not have a game plan for that, as Floyd will go on attack when his defense starts to fail him.

Mayweather is a very defensive-oriented fighter, and is a counter-puncher nonpareil. Mayweather's strategy against Manny will be to let Manny wear himself out against Mayweather's defense, and counterpunch him enough to win points and rounds. It would likely be a very boring fight if that's what went down.

Manny's strategy against Mayweather would be to wade in with combos, take the counterpunches in a bid to get Mayweather to open up his defense a little bit. I think Manny has very good power, but Mayweather has proven that he too, can take a punch.

Tough call, Manny will be Manny, aggression, angles and lots of punches, but Floyd is a very good counter puncher and it might not work. Man, I hope they fight, it will be an event, without a doubt the fight of the decade if not the century.

Hard footwork/defensive training will be required to beat Floyd since Manny doesn't have a long reach jab which is a must to beating a pure boxer (most of the time on paper.)Manny will be in territory that has never been explained to him facing Floyd.Manny's relentless extra fast/powerful offense and willingness to take the punches will test Floyd tremendously.

After Pacquaio throws his 2, 3, or 4 punch combos he should tie Mayweather up instead of just standing in one spot because Mayweather will be looking for counter punching opportunities.

Sadly there is no fight between mayweather and Paquiao. Mayweather knows that Manny is way ahead of him in terms of skill...oh they'll dust out the "lets get this done" bs every year, but when it comes down to a fight, Mayweather will come up with some random reason for ducking out...do they still make magic 8 balls?

Margarita, remember, was supposed to have excellent defensive skills, but Paquiao pretty much nullified that by having superior hand speed.
