There were doctors in the middle ages although they certainly didn't know about germs and antibiotics. They died in record numbers trying to save people. Most doctors, by the way, were also monks. They tried herbal treatments. some tried lancing the buboes in an attempt to drain the system of poisons. Some tried bleeding to release the bad humors from the body, many tried to separate the ill to prevent its spread.

There is an interesting Medieval mystery series by Susanna Gregory that starts with a book called A Plague on Both your Houses. It follows the efforts of a medieval doctor who teaches and practices at Oxford when the plague hits. It is quite interesting.

Now they use antibiotics for the plague. But when it was really the Black Death in the 14th Century, there wasn't anything they could do. It killed half the world population before it simply burned itself out.

lol back then doctors did not exist it was pray and hope you get better they did not they would just die.

They sealed you up in a house with the other sick and lit fires in the streets to burn the sickness in the air.
