Really simple if we want to, but something we will never do.

1.Do not pay bribes (how many times have we blasted a person for not something inspite of offering bribes)

    2. Do not vote for corrupt and inefficient leaders (we berate them but never vote for persons known for honesty and integrity because of our party affiliations)

    3. Boycott anyone you know who gives or takes bribes (how often do we fawn over rich and corrupt relatives but avoid poor and honest ones.

The answer of the question implies writing a big thesis on the subject of removing corruption from India. I would like to offer one suggestion. Presently the Anti Corruption Bureau at state level and district level is manned from the officers pulled from police department. In fact most of these personnel from police deptt. unwilling accept postings in ACB. My suggestion is that an independent and separate ACB must be created at all India level, state level, district and tahsil level.

The incoming candidates which are selected by the UPSC for IPS service may be given an option to permanently work in ACB. The Sub Inspectors, P.Is and constabulary should also be recruited to work in ACB for permanently. They will never get postings in other wings of Police deptt. The independent ACB deptt. may conduct regular meetings of general public to make them aware how and in which way the corruption is done in politics, various institutions, as well in govt. offices. and how to retaliate against all the corrupt practices of politicians as well as govt.officers and staff. Frequent publicity must be given to the laws relating to removing corruption.

The weapon given into the hands of people of india like the Right to Information Act enacted by the Govt.of India must be used very cleverly and honestly.

There is one way to come out of corruption in our country. One does not take bribe or under table money by means of a cheque. They use to receive in cash and in high denomination notes. If high denomination notes are stopped to be circulated, the corruption will be abolished.Black money also will be scrapped.

But the govt. will not do that because the bureaucrats and politicians shall loose the scope of corrupt practices.
