Do you think pilots should have to go through the new scanners or be "patted down" before every flight?

It seems to me that a pilot doesn't need a weapon to take control of an aircraft, s/he just has to show up for work...or maybe I'm missing something.

    No, you have it right.

If G-d forbid, a pilot decided to crash the plane he could just take the controls and aim it wherever he decides to make it crash.

I think it is imperative that pilots go through the scanners just like everybody else. And how about this! Being tested for drugs and alcohol. Several pilots have been grounded for being drunk on the job. And what about that pilot's mental problems, I can't remember if he actually crashed the plane, How about them not getting enough sleep, and putting everyone in jeopardy. Who is to say pilots can't be terrorists!

    Nope,

Maintenance personal do NOT go though the scanner on their way to work.

Airport security do not go through the scanner.

The TSA employees do NOT go through the scanner.

    2. Its called passenger screening for a reason, they should be screening passangers, not the pilots.

i believe pilots already go through that....but if they don't, then they should also be required to just like the rest of us!
