Wanting to jazz up my deviled eggs this year - Any suggestions?

I use my mamaw's recipe which calls for mayo, mustard, pickle relish, salt & pepper. Sometimes I use a little honey mustard for a twist & I garnish with paprika and/or green olive slices. What could I use for a new twist this year? Do you have a special ingredient that makes yours taste extra yummy?

I use dijon mustard instead of regular mustard and my family really prefers it. I also add an extra yolk or two to ensure I have enough egg yolk filling. When I have time and feel like doing something fancy, I pipe the filling, using a large frosting tip, into the egg white halves. For toppings I've used a bit of chopped smoked salmon sometimes combined with minced onion, some diced or a small piece of anchovy fillet, a small piece of roasted pepper or pimento or a drop of the relish used in the filling.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

I use sandwich spread and I dice up some jalepenos in them sometimes. But I use the sandwich spread all the time and relish a little mustard or spicy brown mustard. I may season it with a little of garlic powder and a dice onion also. But that is only around like football party times. Good luck.

Just a touch of horseradish will give them some 'jazz' without making them overwhelming. I've never thought to garnish them with green olive slices- I will definitely try that this year though!

I think deviled eggs always taste better with a little crunch so I do not serve a mouth full of mushy filling only.

I add crumbled bacon and diced celery to my deviled eggs to add texture and crunch. And, there ain't nothin' better than bacon and eggs together. I also add chopped scallions and parsley for color.

Finely chopped onion is great in deviled eggs or if you want a little spice, add some horseradish

Sandypaw, seeming that your question has been pretty well covered, the only thing left, is to call one of those southern jazz bands and kick up your heels.
