A 9-year-old has trouble focusing, throws items at people and hits her dog?

What disorder would you say this is?

Update:

What disorder does she have?

I feel bad for her because her parents are in denial of her behavior.

Update 2:

Her parents pay her 0 attention.

I feel bad for the girl. I think it has alot to do with that.

    It's called lack of discipline.

She does it because her parents allow it.

That's not a disorder honey. That's bad parenting.

    Hello, Maisie.

The girl certainly has some problem. If her parents are paying no attention to her that would cause behavioral problems. If she is acting out in this manner often, doing things that can harm people or animals, it is very significant behavior and needs expert attention. If her parents are in denial of her behavior, I don't see how you can do anything about it. If she is a relative, close friend or close neighbor, you might talk to the parents, but you should be prepared for them to reject your advice.

I hope her parents will recognize that she needs help and get it for her. Child neglect is child abuse.

It definitely sounds like she is crying out for attention.

    Human crave discipline and direction.

what is right and what is wrong.

It seems that if another adult tries to do what the parent si supposed to do it just is not as effective, but yet it does make a difference.

Children learn by example and what they see, so if that child sees things done the right way as if looking at the exact situation with another parent and a child of the same age they will get something from that but not the valuable lesson as if it was what she/he was living.

It is ashame that as adults we see this and it is so hard to voice our concerns to the people who need it most without worrying about making them mad. we want to show we care and help and sometimesit is just best to bite the bullet express our selves and let god take over.

It is ashame people who have children are afraid of them, and then just blow off disipling. It only hurts the children.

It actually sounds like the child has anger issues, but that is just my opinion.

Source(s): I watched my old friends child that was nice at first and then went wild, didn't respect anyone or anything. His mother worked f/t and when she came home let him run all over the place and get into stuff, disrespect adults and others property. I corrected him while he was in my house but I could only do so much. that was 5 years ago. Funny thing she lives with my ex hubby in his house and when my children go over there he treats my daughter terribly she is 9 and he is 12. I wish I knew the answers.

who knows could be an emotional issue if her parents are giving her no attention at all. kids will do crazy things to get attention even if it is the wrong sort. they go looking for things they need in all the wrong places.

Could be anything, She should be taken to the doctor but they would probably just send her to a child psychologist. Does it seem like anything is bothering her?
