Who's more ugly at this point?...Michael Vick?...or those who hate him?
I get the impression that anyone still harping on him NOW only does so to feel better about themselves. I'm sure every one of his detractors has done something they've regretted they wouldn't want brought up in perpetuity.

Great question. I have been thinking about it, as well, because I have read a few articles lately referencing haters. Copying and pasting from an article on ESPN:
"If it were up to me, they would have locked him up and thrown away the key," blogged Sumo Pop recently.
"Michael Vick is a Sociopathic Dog-Torturing, Dog-Maiming, Dog-Drowning, Dog-Electrocuting Pile of S---," somebody posted on Vick's Twitter page Thursday. Vick's Twitter page was running about half against him this week -- until it was frozen for "suspicious activity."

I mean, come on now--I think what he did was crazy, but if you are still this upset over him torturing some dogs, then I think YOU are a sociopath...because, let's face it--he could have killed a black man and [white] people wouldn't be this upset with him. And caring more about what happens to animals than what happens to other people is psycho, and that's where we are as a society. Even Vick is another person, a human being. Put things in perspective. At this point, you're overreacting.

All of the fawning over Vick that has gone in the last week has probably done a lot to stir up the haters. I mean I'm glad the guy has gotten career and hopefully his life back on track but he has only won a few games so its a little early to be declaring him the MVP, and preparing a spot for his bust in the HOF. Vick had his days as a Falcon but later in his Falcon's career teams started devising ways to deal with him. His game looks a little more complete now under Andy Reid's coaching but I don't doubt that other teams, especially the ones in their division that will see him twice a season, will start game planning better for defending against him.

Those who continuously bring up Vick's past obviously lack maturity, and they lack forgiveness. I don't excuse what Vick did, and I don't think anyone does. But its foolish to continue this argument when he has truly turned the corner. Not only is he playing well in the NFL and taken on such an important leadership role, but he has truly apologized for his actions and he is making amends to change. It would be one thing if he learned nothing from what he did, but when you look at him, he is trying to be better as a person and a player. One thing is true, no matter what you have done (in terms of making the changes to be right) there will always be people undermining your progress. Those who show their hatred for Vick are indeed the ugly ones. I say, terrific for Vick if he plays well, and ignores those who want to put him down. Although what he did was wrong, he is turning the page, and that is all you can ask for.

Doing something "you've regretted" is NOT the same thing as doing something and heinous and cruel like electrocuting and torturing another living creature...and by the way, I like the Eagles. I hope Vick truly has changed but you have to be seriously sick to be able to do something like that. Who tortures animals? Oh yeah, serial killers and other seriously ****** up people.

i hate people who hate something and try to make it/them even worse. if you dont like them/it, then change it instead of being a hater.
