Any good websites for soccer moms and dads to learn the rules of the game?
I get frustrated pretty often with some of the calls by the officials but honestly I don't know enough about the game to know if they got it correct or not.

1 AnswerRunning6 years agoWill bringing in Geno Smith be good, or bad for Mark Sanchez?
It seems like every time a team brings in a young QB to compete for a job with their starter I hear talk about how it will shatter the confidence of the current QB and I'm not sure I really buy into it. If you have a guy who's confidence is that frail maybe he shouldn't be your starter anyway. It seems I remember that Drew Brees didn't step his game up until the Chargers brought in Phillip Rivers. I have never really been on the Mark Sanchez bandwagon but maybe bringing competition will help him rather than hurt him.
6 AnswersFootball (American)8 years agoAny other non Viking fans pulling for the Vikings to make it to the Super Bowl?
I know their chances are slim and there is no guarantee that they will even get into the playoffs but I would like to see Adrian Peterson get into the Super Bowl. My team is already out of the race so I guess I'm just looking for someone to pull for and I would like it to be someone that we haven't seen in there in recent years. I really don't like Pete Caroll or the Sea-hawks so I won't be pulling for them.

Not sure if I missed it. I was kind of busy working. What time zone were the Mayans in anyway?
4 AnswersTrivia8 years agoBest sites to see in the Philippines?
Heading to the Philippines next spring. We are mostly going to visit with some of my wife's family but we also plan to get out and see some sites. So far we plan to go to Bohol Island and see the Chocolate Hills, and we plan to go to Hundred Islands. Most of my wife's family are near Angeles City, or Manila so anything near there, or on Bohol would be a plus. We visited Baguio the last time I was in the Philippines about 10 years ago so we probably won't visit there again this trip.
4 AnswersPhilippines9 years agoGood song suggestions for a work-out playlist?
I'm browsing the I-tunes store and would be glad for any suggestions for a new work-out playlist. Anything rock, hip-hop, or pop with a good beat would do. I'll give a thumbs up for any serious suggestion and a best pick for my favorite. Thanks for any help. Getting bored with my current playlist.
3 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoWith all the new rules and punishments we still have 2 starting quarterbacks with head injuries?
They punished the Saints to the obvious ruin of their season for bounties, and they have spent the last couple of seasons fining defensive backs and linebackers for so much as breathing on a wideout, or quarterback and to my great surprise we still have 2 starting quarterbacks knocked out of games this week with head injuries. Maybe they should just ban tackling and hitting altogether? Maybe they should just get real and realize that injuries are going to be part of tackle football.

Maybe Obama should apologize for not being a good apologizer. Everyone knows if you want to be a strong nation your leaders need to be good apologizers.
9 AnswersGovernment9 years agoNikon Coolpix P510 any good for youth sports photos?
Has anyone bought the Nikon Coolpix P510 camera and then used it successfully to take sports or other action photos? I realize it won't be as good as a DSLR but at the price I would be happy with photos that aren't all blurred. Mostly interested to hear from someone who owns this camera and there opinion of it good or bad. I hear that it is supposed to be capable of 8 frames per second though the prossessor is only capable of keeping 5 of them. I read about a Sony super zoom camera forget the model that was supposed to be capable of 12 frames per second but the only reviews that I read of people who had actually used the cameras burst mode were negative. The one review that I read on the Nikons burst mode was positive but it was only one review.
2 AnswersCameras9 years agoGood reading material for someone who wants to be better informed on mutual funds?
Most of my reading of late has switched from fiction to magazines and books that have information I can use in life. I was thinking about subscribing to a magazine if there is a good one that would help keep me informed on what mutual funds are good, and how they are expected to perform. I'm looking for stuff that someone who is not investment buisiness can understand. Any suggestions. The first two that came to mind for me are Forbes magazine, and the Wall Street Journal but I can't say I have ever read either of those.
4 AnswersInvesting9 years agoAnyone new to guitar buy Rocksmith? Are you happy with it?
I have been waiting for the PC version of it to come out. I don't have any musical instrument experience but have always wanted to pick up guitar. I have 3 kids at home who all play piano, and one of them plays piano and trumpet and one of these days when I have finshed paying for all of their lessons I may treat myself to some guitar lessons. I thought Rocksmith might be something fun to do with the kids and though I'm sure its no replacement for guitar lessons it may at least get me started.

I have a problem with highlighting with my mouse in Word (2007) and everywhere else for that matter. It catches some of the text (or pictures) I want to highlight, but will let it go when I let off the button, or it just sporadically highlights parts etc. Anybody have a solution to this problem? I have a wireless Logitech mouse and I think the batteries are ok. I’d appreciate any help.
2 AnswersSoftware9 years agoWhats the best way to get stubborn tree-sap off of my truck without damaging the clear-coat?
I have what I am pretty sure is tree sap on my 2009 F150. What ever it is its in small dots on my hood and its stuck on pretty good but I can get it to come off one dot at a time with my fingernail and some effort but there is quite a bit of it on the truck. I bought one of those rubber detailing tools from Walmart but it is useless. I would hate to use any harsh chemical because my paint still looks new at this point, and I wouldn't want to damage the clear-coat. Greatly appreciate any advise, especially from any professional detailers out there.
6 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWireless network connection problem with Windows 7?
I have a HP laptop that I have been using with a Netgear wireless router for about the last 4 years that lately I have been have fairly frequent dropouts with my wireless network connection. I recently switched both of our computers over to Windows 7 and I did lose connection sometimes when we were using XP but with XP Windows could usually detect the problem and fix it where Window 7 tries but can never find the problem. Typically I can get everything going again by resetting the router, and the cable modem but would like to fix the cause if possible, or find out why Windows cannot detect and fix the problem as it did when I was using XP. I'm going from memory but I think usually when this happened as I was running XP, that Windows had to reset the IP address to correct the problem. I realize that I could just go on resetting things but the router, and modem both reside in my daughters bedroom and I hate to disturb her in the evening when I have time to get on the computer. Thanks for any advise.
4 AnswersComputer Networking1 decade agoGood camera for taking youth league sports photos?
I'm looking for an upgrade on our current camera to use for taking photos of my kids participating in youth sports (soccer, softball, basketball). I'm dealing with a limited budget so I was wondering if there are any mid range cameras out there that have decent enough shutter speed for action photos or is a digital SLR pretty much the only way to go? We have one of those little pocket sized sony cameras that you can buy at pretty much any Walmart and its decent enough for photos if people are standing still but everything I have shot of my kids playing basketball is either blurred, or grainy depending on what settings I run it on. I had a Kodak P712 that had a pretty decent zoom but had to return it due to mechanical issues that I was never able to get resolved.
1 AnswerPhotography1 decade agoSolution to problem with PC DVD/CD writer?
I have a DVD/CD writer that came with my Dell computer that I have been using for years that I suspect may have developed a problem. I have been using it recently burning CDs from I-tunes, and DVDs with Microsoft Movie Maker and I noticed just very recently that now some of the DVDs that I'm burning will only work with an older DVD player that I have, and some of the CDs that I'm burning will only work on one of the CD players in our house. I realize that some of the older CD players won't work with discs that you burn on your computer but in both cases these are units that I have used in the past with discs burned on my computer. I'm wondering if the culprit could be the DVD/CD writer, maybe something corrupted with the driver? Wondering if anyone out there has dealt with something like this before? Any suggestions?
2 AnswersDesktops1 decade agoCan the Saints win play-off games with Reggie Bush as their starting back?
I read that Pierre Thomas is now also on IR. I still think they can beat the SeaChickens but I have to admit that being down to Bush, Julius Jones, and DeShawn Wynn has me a little concerned about their chances of going very far in the play-offs.
