How do you clean discolored grout?
my house is over 80 yrs old, and the bathroom was last updated in the 70's, the tile is still good, but the grout is discolored.. do those grout pens work? (tiles are white, and the grout is white- or used to be white too) thanks!

If your tile grout is slightly to moderately discolored, this product will make it look new again. I have tried bleach and a toothbrush, different sprays and cleaners, and none have given the result I've been looking for until I came across this.
Things You'll Need:
"Tile Guard Tile Grout Coating 4.3 oz applicator bottle"
1 Preclean your tile with your everyday cleaner. Remove any grout sealer you had on there before.
2 Shake the bottle with the cap on.
3 Tilt the bottle at an angle and push hard on the grout in a back and forth motion along the lines. I would suggest doing all vertical lines together and all horizontal together. The liquid will smooth into the grout surface and along the tile. But don't worry, it will wipe right off the tile.
4 Allow it to dry for 4 hours or longer. I let mine sit overnight. Wipe it down with a wet cloth and then polish with a dry cloth.
Extremely discolored grout may need 2 coats. Rinse the applicator after use and replace the cap for further use later.

Try Tilex. Spray a small space, like behind the toilet first(Just in case), then let it sit 5 or 10 min., then take a grout brush to it. You could use a mixture of clorox and water as well, the main thing is letting it sit so the bleach can work. Then after you are done, make sure you wash the floor with a bucket of water, to get the bleach off the tile.

Bleach or if you are bothered by the smell use Oxygen and let it sit and rinse, it should take a lot of the stain away. A paste made of peroxide and baking soda and allowed to dry then rinse or scrub off will also whiten tile grout.
