Do i need tubeless specific tires to go tubeless?

I know a lot of non-tubeless specific and non UST wheels can be run tubeless, but can i get by with regular tires?

I'm going to try it on my Easton AM Havoc wheels.

You can use regular tires. They are hard to get them to seat correctly. You may have to put in extra effort though and you have to run some sort of latex.

    I run tubeless with a ghetto set-up (gorilla tape & Stan's).

Cafe Latex is the way to go (or other non-amonia sealants). The amonia CAN cause corosion on the wheel. Stan's has amonia (I am switching) - if you chose stan's etc, you will need to remove wheel and clean every 6 months or so.

By the way, awesome decision on the Easton Havoc wheels! They are awesome!
