Is it okay to take steaming hot showers w/ skin drying soap as long as I moisturize immediately afterwards?
I was told that hot water is bad for your skin b/c it depletes your skin of moisture & natural oils??? same with certain soaps. but I LOVE hot water, & I don't feel clean unless I have that SQUEAKY feeling when I rinse. I wasn't sure if that was true, but if so, is it okay as long as I use lotion afterwards? I go crazy with thick lotion to keep my skin soft and to prevent premature aging and I ALSO take fish oil pills daily which is supposed to help the production of natural oils...so is this good enouh to make up for the hot shower and crazy cleansing soap?

I do the same thing. Just make sure you moisturize as soon as you get out of the shower and make sure it's a good moisturizer! My favorite is "hemp cherry blossom" by moist. got it at sally's beauty supply for $8 and it works wonders

i do the same thing as you. the only thing i would say not to do with the hot water is washing your hair. cold water is a lot better for your hair as a whole. but yeah, as long as you moisturize after you're cool. i always moisturize after and my skin feels soft and i don't see anything wrong.
