Help Using LG Tv as Computer Monitor?

Hi,

I am trying to hookup my LG 32" Tv to my desktop pc. I have use an hdmi cable from the tv to my onboard video "hdmi" Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H .. The video works great but I can't get sound from my tv. I don't have pc speakers and just wondering how do i get to use the tv sound?

My motherboard has onboard sound card as well but I'm using a hdmi cable and i know it works with sound. ANy advice?

    have you tried updating the drivers for your graphics card ... if they are the newest then go into sound devices in the control panel and make sure HDMI is selected (right click the volume in the bottom right of your screen then click devices)
