My hard drive in my pc had crashed. I have a 500 gb seagate hard drive that i use as an external with about 150gb of data on it. "pics,movies,music etc. Is there a way I can use this hard drive in my pc and install windows 7 on it WITHOUT deleting my 150gb of files currently on it? If so, can someone please tell me how to do this ? Thank You so much. Also, how many gigs should I leave for the windows 7 and pc useage. I would like to have atleast 160gb for pc if possible.

I need some advice. A few people purchased some collectables from a guy. They all paid with paypal. The seller shipped each and everyone of them a empty package. He insured the items also and on one of the packages were sliced to make it seem like it was tampered with. THese were sports cards. The first person had opened his package (paid over 300.00) infront of postal carrier. Which the carrier called supervisor immediately. There was no sign of tampering. So the guy jumps on to warn other buyers. They just received their packages today so they go to the post office to open and yet the same situation. Post office says they will start an investigation for mail insurance fraud. Now each party had called their police department to fill out a report. Can they call the sellers PD. See this seller must have planned these big dollar scamms because he came off nice and then just went on a scamming spree. We all have his address but not sure what to do. Any advice?

I could really use some advice. We have a rat terrier/mix, He was a stray about 5 yrs ago that we found on the streets and took him in. He was very good with people and children.Very good in the house as it didn't take long to potty train him. Well up until 2 months ago he has turned into a totally different dog. He is going to the bathroom all over the house. Everyday his food and water gets taken away at 5:30pm. We let him out at 11pm and watch him poop and pee a dozen times. We also leave him out about 30 min after to make sure he is through. We get up at 6:am to find rooms full of pee,and poop ground up and dug into the carpets. like he kicks it or something. This is happening daily. Now funny thing is if we leave him on a leash at night there is no problem. Let him off and we got problems. I don't like to have a dog on a leash all day. I have two kids under 5 and a grandparent who lives with us. We are at the breaking point. The house smells like crap so we have to clean the carpets more than before. He was taken to a vet and checks okay. I'm affraid we have to get rid of him. I feel bad cause he was a stray some years ago but now he is growling at me and my kids,and the bathroom mess. He knows what he is doing or he'd poop on the leash. What can i do? My wife and g.parent want him to go. My wife is stressed out. about 5yrs of good turned upside down.

I have a 2000 ford windstar 3.8 and to no suprise have another issue with it.

I have been experiencing battery drainage problems. If I don't drive the van for a few days the battery will die. Someone said I have a parasitic draw or something like that. Today I noticed something strange. Due to this drain I have shut off all interior lights and even turned off all the gauge lighting as we don't do night driving much. When I open the van doors the interior lights don't light up. This morning my wife goes to open the drivers door and all the interior lights came on. "Van was off"

She shut the door and re-opened and this time they didn't come on. She goes to the store and opens the sliding side door and it happens again. I took a multimeter and tested the van and I noticed when I touch the positive and negative terminals of the batter the headlights come on. Again van off. I'm getting a full charge from the driving. Does anyone know what would cause these issues? Or have anything like this happen to them? I cleaned the battery terminal and they were clean nothing bad. Just alittle stumped.

2000 Ford Windstar 3.8..

My van has been running excellent up until last weekend. My wife left for a day of shopping and everything was fine. She backed the van into the driveway to unload groceries. When she got back in and started the van it began to hesitate and then stall. Did this 3 times in a row. I then came out and tried to start. It started but gave a good shake. I gave it some gas and the shake went away.

Now we have been driving the van. Sometimes at start it will shake/hesitate but will go away. It never does it during stops or anything. Just at first startup. However when driving it seems sluggish. No check engine lights so no codes as a garage has checked. This evening I start the van and after its started it will idle down but have a light shake like its gonna stall but doesn't. The engine sounds like a diesel engine now. I rode up to Oreillys auto parts and they said to put some seafoam in the tank on a full tank of gas. I'm not sure if I should do seafoam from horror stories. I took it to a local garage where they said since no engine light,the scanner isn't pulling any codes. They said the van has a mind of its own. I asked about fuel filter and they said no because it would give a code if bad. Then asked about spark plugs and wires since its been a few years and they said if they were bad we'd get a code. They think it may be a case of bad fuel or too much water in the tank.

My wife only takes it to one gas station and no problems. ALways topping off at 1/2 tank. She went to a gas station out of town and thinks maybe it could be bad gas. As we are at a 1/4 tank left as she wants to go and fill up. Could this be bad gas?? I'm sorry guys this is driving me nuts. It sounds like a plugged muffler too. I don't see smoke but do get alot of clear water dripping. "Pretty sure just condesation"... Any help would be much appreciated...

(UPDATED) Lastnight I changed the oil and Spark Plugs..Started the van and seems to run okay. Took it for a test drive and came back and while in idle the van started to shake alittle bit.Its almost like it idles really low and the muffler under the van shakes. Give it gas and it goes away..This is driving me nuts.

We have a terrier chihuahua mix. He is a Male. About 4 years ago we took him in as he was a stray that was found in our yard. There is a kennel a block over but charge to drop off unwanted dogs and cats so people dump them on our block. Well we are having issues recently. He isn't wanting to go potty or poop outside and will do it in the house. He is also not listening,and taking the dinner off plates. He used to be really good. He would never go after food left on a table. We have a big backyard which he knows to do his business back there. When my wife lets him out he will go to the bathroom in our front yard. If I let him out,he will go in the backyard. Its like he does what he wants with her but knows better when i'm around. Its really starting to upset us because he has never done this stuff til recently. We feed him dry dog food which sits out from 6 am til 5pm and then gets put away. He is outside all day on nice weather and frequently on colder days. We let him out at the end of day around 11pm. Sometimes he will go to the bathroom and then sometimes he will just sit there staring at our window. Even if he goes to the bathroom we will find poop and pee in the living room. We are forced to leave him on a leash at night where he doesn't use the bathroom in the house...I was told he can't be trained. I know he can. He knows when i'm mad because he will listen. Our neighbor gave us a training collar which seemed to work on a tone setting. He was great. You tell him to lay down or sit and he would. I take it off and give it back and its like he doesn't care. Does anyone have any advice. He isn't sick as he has been seen by a vet. His diet is good. We don't know why he is acting so badly. We need to train or find another home as we can't have this stuff going on a daily basis.

We have a 96 ford contour that has been having starting issues. Its winter time here in ohio. In the morning we would go out to start it and it would crank,turn over,and die. We notice there is some putting sounds heard from the engine area. Like puts of air. If we turn the key and press the gas it will stay running. Almost as if there is something blocking and gets cleared out. I'm clueless to what it could be. It doesn't stall while driving. Just when first starting up. We recently had a coolant line bust and just had that fixed. Battery,alt and starter all checked out fine. I thought maybe exhust leak issue because i think we have one.

I have a 2000 ford windstar 3.8. I also have a battery drain.It was tested and told that I need to test with a multimeter and start pulling fuses.

I took my multimeter after waiting 30 minutes for the vans computer to go to sleep. Its reading 0.62. Now someone told me that my vehicle will use .30 when sleeping. Anything higher is a drain. My question today is , Is this correct? and where do i find out this information. I've been getting mixed opinions. I know there will be some draw going on,but not sure how much. The van is factory. Nothing installed. We don't drive it alot. don't use the radio. Anyone with knowledge on this topic please help me out. Thank You!

This morning I tested my battery with a multimeter and cold it read 12.06. I had my wife start it up and it went to 10.30 and back up to 14.5. Yesterday my wife took to autozone and they said alternator was dead but didn't give her a reading. She then went to Oreilleys and It read 12.54 off,10.50 starting, and 14.1 running. They said starter,alt and battery were great. We gone through 3 new advanced auto batteries since june 2011. All dying within 3 month period.

I don't understand how it could be at 12.54 yesterday and now 12.06 today. Oreilleys said it was at 80%. Now its like 25%..

I have checked battery terminals,interior lighting,and even shut off the lighting inside. Radio is off,and nothing plugged into lighter. Its a 2000 ford windstar 3.8.

Somone said start pulling fuses but not sure what they are talking about or how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking to build my son a nice budget gaming pc so he can play games like Cod series, black ops,bf2,bf3,and team fortress 2,etc.

I have everything picked out but not sure what kind of motherboard to get. Its going to be a AMD build. He used to have a nice gigabyte motherboard with HDMI,4 slot memory,ati radeon hd4200 onboard graphics. and 8 channel audio.

I would be looking for the same specs. Must have the 7-8 channel audio, onboard ati 4200 or 4250 "for normal use" and i'm not sure if 2 slot or 4 slot memory is a big deal. I'd like to spend no more than 100.00 if possible.

I'm going off his wish list. any help would be wonderfull.

I have gone through 2 brand new batteries "now on my 3rd" from Advanced Auto. We have a 2000 ford windstar 3.8. I don't know what is going on. The battery we had before this year lasted almost 6 years. It was a autozone battery. Seems like the advanced batteries only last about 3 months and then go dead. We don't do alot of driving. Mainly my wife uses it. Today I took the vehicle up to autozone "one week after owning this new battery" to get it checked out. The guy had hooked a meter to the battery and said it was 12.30v. Last week it was 12.65v. He tested the alternator and starter and said they all work and not showing anything wrong. My neighbor said that the autozone guy should've checked the battery for crank by turning the van on. He didn't do this. He started the vehicle to check alt and starter. Is this correct? I don't have anything installed in the vehicle,and turned off all the inside lighting including the dash lights just incase this was causing the drain. The van hasn't had a problem starting,but after going through 2 already,I am worried about my wife being out and it not starting. One thing we do have and not sure if this would affect anything is our belt squeeks and chirps. The mechanic at a local garage said the tensioner is in need of replacement but its okay to drive on. Just have to deal with the noise. He also put a bar of hand soap on the belt. I haven't done that and don't know why cause the chirp came back. Could this cause battery drain?

Any help would be appreciated. Just wasn't sure if the guy properly checked the battery.

I'm in need of some help. This morning my wife and I decided to do some christmas shopping for our kids. It is very hard trying to find something for our 5 year old son. He isn't into toys. In october my mother in law bought them a nintendo wii. Now my son is obsessed with wii and everything mario. Its school and mario this and mario that. We asked him what do you want santa to bring and he says Mario stuff. We told him santa's elves make toys,not electronics. We don't mind him playing once in awhile but don't want it taking over everything else. We walk him through the aisles and try getting him excited about action figures because he likes capt america,but says I don't want the toys. I don't want to spend money on items he won't show interest in and my wife doesn't want him to have video games. Has anyone experienced this? thanks for reading. I'm going crazy trying to find something. I will tell him that he isn't getting a wii game,so he'll pick up some random toy without really looking and say "okay, i'll take this one! ". We don't want that either!

Ford Contour 96' sport 2.0

Back in May I had a power steering hose replaced. I noticed one day that the car was making a loud whining noise. I checked the tank and it was just about empty line. I put more fluid in and the noise went away . 2 days later we discovered the leak.

I took it to a garage and they replaced the hose. About 3 weeks later I go to start the vehicle and the pump makes a noise like there is no fluid going into it and about 1 min later it goes away and everything is fine. No issues turning or anything.

Can someone tell me if this is a sign of a bad pump now? It almost reminds me of a noise my kids fish tank filter would make before it gets water going through it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is this okay to drive? It does it on just about every start up now.

I am type 2 Diabetic. The past week I have been feeling under the weather. No fever but alot of throat congestion,It may be an alergy problem. I don't have insurance right now as I was cut from my job. So I'm buying my Novolin N insulin in which I only take 40 units during the morining.

I noticed my levels are abit higher than normal. I have this issue to where my sugar lever must be lower than 100 to be normal and not much higher after eating.

In the morning I noticed that my sugar levels range from 150 - 180 when I wake up. After I take my insulin and eat my sugar goes down to around 120. During the day its around 120-150. I can't get it lower.

Morning- 150-180's

mid day- 130's

lunch time 130-140

evening 140.

These are before meals. I try not to eat carbs or alot. I eat mostly turkey bacon,string cheese "lightly" sausage links,chicken breast skinless and baked with a small serving of mashed pot and salad.

For evening snack its usually turkey bacon with a carb pita "5 carbs" each pita. usually eat 2.

I also take Zantac in the evening because I get really bad acid indegestion at night. Any help would be great. I was told that my sugar isn't really high but for me it seems like it.

30yrs old. I'm just scared of dying so I try keeping it low.

I have some heater vents from the furnace in rooms that I would like to close off. Its an older style home with no basement so the furnace is in the dining room and it gets really warm. I want to close the vents to an 2nd floor bedroom because the heat rises and its the warmest and hard to sleep without fans on.

My wife can simply turn the vent to close but it doesn't work.She wants to tape the outside of the vent but that would look ugly. Can I remove the vent from the wall and put something there at the opening and then replace the vent? I checked the pipes and it doesn't have the vents shut off levers.

ANy help would be great. These are normal heating vents on the lower walls.

Earlier in the year I built a gaming pc. However I had to get rid of some of my good items such as graphics card due to company layoffs. Well. My Gigabyte Motherboard currently has a Ati Radeon hd4200 onboard graphics chip. I saw videos on youtube of playing games like cod4 and such..

When I look at the computer it says that my ram currently is - 4.00GB (2.75 GB usable).

I was wondering if there is a way I can add 1gb to the 4200? I saw a video of someone who did it but they won't share how.

I was diagnosed with diabetes back in 06. The doctor prescribed Novolin R and N insulin.

Used to be 40 unitis on N and 30 units at night of N. R was to be taken only when my sugar levels are higher than 180 before meals.

Well I am currently out of work and lost my insurance. From the start I have been taking NOVOLIN N at 40units in the morning only because my sugar levels were usually 90-99 in the morning and during the day its around 150. Never high. So i adjusted myself. Well I have been getting my novolin at walmart over the counter. Well I currently went to purchase a bottle the week of thanksgiving

when I was told they no longer carry novolin n. They gave me a brand called humulin n. They said it was the same just different name. Well Its been a few weeks and my sugars have been weird. In the morning my sugars are 130-150 and during the day its about 150 and after meals its 205. It doesn't seem right. Is it possible that the humulin isn't working like the novolin?

I tried taking the extra 30 units in the evening but nothing seems to change. Is it possible that I need to up the dose due to the new insulin? I can't see a dr right now. Any advice would be great.

I don't eat sugar stuff and usually stick to a very low carb meal plan. No breads, or anything.

I've been having issues staying awake during the day. It started around thanksgiving time this year.

It seems that whenever I eat something "cracker,bacon,gum,etc" I start falling alseep shortly after no matter what i'm doing. I have been falling asleep at the dinner table and its happening whenever I get infront of my computer as well. I just start passing out.

Now I don't sleep good during the night. I'm not sure if this is an issues. But i've had sleeping issues for many years. This falling asleep is new to me. My eyes are wanting to close right now as i'm typing this. Has anyone had these symptoms? Maybe some advice. I know I should see a doctor,but got laid off and loss my insurance. Thanks everyone.

I have a Bissel 6594 Series Vac.

The other day we noticed a burning rubber smell coming from the machine. I turned it over and saw that the roller bar wasn't moving.We went and purchased a new belt replacement put it on and the burning rubber smell came back and this time the vac would make a noise as if there are bolts ran over. Like a crunching/grinding noise and loud. Took the belt and roller off and the vacuum works good. No noise problems and the attachments work good. Still sucks up things. I looked at the bottom of the vac to see if anything is caught but couldn't find anything. Even had my wife clean it out. Still the same problem.

Could this be the motor failing. Seems odd that it does the issues when belt is installed on the motor bar.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

I am trying to hookup my LG 32" Tv to my desktop pc. I have use an hdmi cable from the tv to my onboard video "hdmi" Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H .. The video works great but I can't get sound from my tv. I don't have pc speakers and just wondering how do i get to use the tv sound?

My motherboard has onboard sound card as well but I'm using a hdmi cable and i know it works with sound. ANy advice?
