Would my heart ruin a Christian?
I recently agreed to be an organ donor when I renewed my driver's license. If I were to die and a Christian were to get my atheist heart, would it ruin him?

I am spiritually oriented and can see easily how they take the bible on faith and simply accept it as truth, that is after all what faith is, believing in something unprovable. That isn't the point I disagree on with them in particular, even though I personally find nothing in it for me. It has been my experience that there are alot who obey "the letter of the law" and few who go deeper, i do know very well that there are those that do go beyond it and look at the deeper meaning as you say. I know a few myself. People are people the world over, it doesn't matter where you look you will find the kind of people your talking about. And as far as I can tell they haven't been of any predominant faith. Just give up the Christian bit, accept people for what they believe and expect them to do the same. If they don't feel free to tell them they suck and walk away.

On the face of things it would appear that a christian would be in trouble since Jesus speaks to their heart and they know in their heart where as an atheist heart is only a pump and lacks those interesting additional talents.

No, because a Christian would have a renewed heart since they love God......
By the way - it's not a matter of "IF" you were to die, but the fact that you will die, like all other humans; the difference is in where you will spend eternity after leaving this earth............................think about the choices that God has provided for you :]

Of course not. I would be thankful to get spare parts from atheists, Pagans, agnostics, Muslims, Hindus or anyone else. It's not as if internal organs are affected in any way by religious preferences.

nope it is the should not the body that is important, the only way your heart could ruin a Christian is if he knew you were a donor and hastened your death to get the heart.

LOL i love your question! that's really funny! I think Christians believe it is the soul that defines the person, not the heart. so probably not. but still, what a unique question.

They call it brain washing because it affects the brain, not the heart.

Religion doesn't only rely in one's heart, but also in their soul.
