Dual or quad processor?
I'm trying to decide whether to get a Toshiba satellite with a dual or a quad processor, they have pretty much the same.
The dual one has 4gb / 500gb hd / 17.3 in = $629
The quad one has 4gb / 320gb hd / 15.6 in = $600
Both are AMD Phenom / Vision Premium processor, which one will be better for working with up to 6-9 Internet windows at the same time. I don't mind the hard drive size.

umm the quad processor is literally 2 times faster than the dual one if the ghz in each processor is the same. Honestly tho i would go the extra mile and spend another $70 to make the hardrive and screen about the same size while still being a quad core.

The quad will generally be better for multi tasking at equal clock speeds to the dual core.

Have you seen how fast a DUAL CORE Intel E8500 is @ 4.2 Ghz.. Everything happens instantly and faster than many of my friends quads. LOL

a dual core for 629? when you can get a quad for 600! that's a deal
A quad core is 2x better than a dual core since you have 2 extra cores your processor can work with.

go for the quad one, it has less hard drive space, but it is much faster, plus it is cheaper
