Interesting Internet and World Wide Web topic?

Question

Our class will have a presentation a fortnight from now. I was assigned to have a presentation about the Internet and the World Wide Web. Nothing specific, my teacher said, just anything about those topics.

I need my presentation to be quite exciting and interesting. Does anyone have any idea what I should present?

Majority of my classmates are not IT students, so my presentation must not be very technical. I must not bore them, or else I will fail the presentation.

Might be an idea to talk about the history of the internet and www and some of the first computers networking that allowed it all to happen. plenty of images and games, history of email, online gaming, onling social sites, history of search - there is a wealth of infotmation about google and their rise to world domination of the online search which is pretty interesting, they are quite a colourful company and would be good for presenting.

I would do it on thepiratebay.org. Its the largest P2P site that shares movies, music, games, and more.
Google interesting facts about movie piracy and all the legal trouble they got into. They can make for a great topic because they are fighting the entertainment industry first hand.

How about basing your presentation on Yahoo solutions? you may want to look on the sorts of question that get requested, how they are replied. believe me they determination from the ridiculous to the elegant. for instance you may want to concentration on the fashion of youthful kids who use it as a short reduce to getting their homework done.
