The small 2 probably refers to a footnote.

If your HCG level is <5, then you are not pregnant.

A conclusive test is HCG > 25 mIU/mL, while 5-25 means its a possible (very early) pregnancy.

Edited @ Apple Juice: As the OP states, her HCG level is <5 (less than 5) NOT greater than 5 (which would read >5).

okay well I am not sure what that means either, it sounds like your HCG lvl is greater than 5? What did they tell you? Did they tell you to retest, that you aren't pregnant? Why didn't you ask the doctors/nurses this question? When I joined the army all the girls had to take a pregnancy test upon joining, and upon arriving into replacement before BCT so we all got our results together, a 5 or below indicates non pregnancy, but every single one of us had a .50 or below, I myself had a .25. All you can do is go off of what the doctor told you. I got an inconclusive with an hcg lvl of 8, they told me to come back less than 2 days later it was 22 and I am now 5 months pregnant.

A conclusive URINE test is above 25, a non pregnant women who has not been taking fertility shots will NOT have an HCG lvl above a 5!!!!!!!

okay lol I guess I suck at math, that is correct, it is LESS than five, and that would indicate a non pregnant status, but a non pregnant woman would still never have an HCG lvl above 5, so I think the results of your test is negative.

less than 5 is not pregnant.

    over 25 is considered pregnant.
