***Do you mind if I wrote it the way he talks? He's Russian, and he's still learning English. He tried his best for this interview ;)! Also, it's written a hundred years in the future. There was a World War Three, and the whole North American continent collapsed, and is now trying to rebuild with extremely strict laws and everything.
1) My name is Nikolai Viktorovich Novitsky, but here, I don't want to hear this name from any lips but mine. Call me Vik. It is easier, anyway. *leans back in chair*
2) My grandfather was in the big war. He told me when I was young that things were rough out there. Food was coming only every two weeks, and it ran out after one week between he and the other soldiers, so they had to scavenge for anything to be called a meal. Some did not die from weapon, some died just of hunger. And disease spread quickly as well, but this is beside the...the point. When I was young, ten years or so, my grandfather had took me outdoors and makes me cut wood all day with just a...a wood cutting tool, you know? An axe. No gloves or no big coat.
For five very long hours he had me outdoors cutting wood for the fire, and when I came back in, he cooked me a small piece of meat and gave me a carrot...too cooked carrot. The meat was tough to chew. When I was done, I was still hungry, and my hands were raw and scratched everywhere from outdoors cutting wood, and I could not get a bandage. He then sent me back outside for another couple of hours. This was stopped when I became...not careful, you know? Careless. And a large tree branch fell from the tree and hit my face, just underneath my eye. So much blood was coming, and I dropped my axe and turned to go inside and my grandfather was there behind me. He told me that the big war felt this way. That you had to work and work all day in the cold and you only got a small, bad meal and then you had to do it all again, little mercy to wound. He took me inside and while he helped me with my big cut, he told me how I should always be thankful for what I have. This is where my big scar came from just under my eye here. I don't uh...I don't resent my grandfather for setting me up to do that. He taught me a good thing. But that's a very, say, distinguishing feature of my face.
3) I was born in a little, uh, a little town in Russia, but it was only a few months ago that I came to here, the west, America, huh? It's terrible here, terrible. So many terrible people. I wish I could go back to Russia to my little town once again. This place will never be home.
4) I go to the woods when I am not happy. It is very calm there to me. I can think about what is wrong there. Very nice, maybe one of the nice things of here.
5) I was in love in Russia. My father thought she was a terrible girl that I should not be near when I want to be. But when we left to America, I must left her behind. It did break my heart, but it was silly, anyway.
6) What is on my feet? Why do you ask me this? They are only boots, as you can obviously see! They're leather boots my grandfather wore... *moves feet nervously*
7) I think of the bread Mum would make when I think about my kitchen back home. If there is one thing that I wish back from before I ran away, it would be the fresh breads she made every day.
8) A memory from childhood. I told you of it before, when my grandfather tested me with the hard work all day...It stuck in my mind because it taught me something I value very much now.
9) I look for no questions in a girl. I would like to tell and she to understand. I mean, no, that sounds terrible of me. She would have to be someone who could understand already what I go through. She might have to have gone through what I have. You know? So I could talk to her. I know of things many people don't know. Maybe I will be lonely all my days because of this.
10) My biggest what? Triumph? I am sorry--oh. Success, do you mean? Like that? The best success I have had...maybe finally knowing how I want to be. I want to be free. I do not like it about America. Russia is much free. But my biggest failure? I never like to think I have failed. Everything I learn from it. Perhaps I failed when I stepped onto the boat to America here.

1. What is your character's name? Does he/she have a nickname?
Her name is Ashira Thorne. She prefers to be called Ash.
2. What kind of distinguishing facial features does your character have?
LOL, I read this as disgusting first :P
Nothing really. She's pretty plain-looking. She has good skin, does that count?
3. Where was your character born? Where has he/she lived since then? Where does he/she call home?
She was born in Agova and lived there until she was seven. When she was seven, she was forced to move to Escona with her uncle, Pete. At first, she hated it. But slowly, it began to grow on her. She's been on the run ever since she was fifteen, but Escona is her home.
4. Where does your character go when he/she’s angry?
She doesn't have a place per se. She goes to Mark, her best friend, who always makes her feel better. He's pretty serene and just being around him feels nice.

She had never been in love until Alex. Even then, neither of them admitted their feelings for each other until the end of the book. Sadly, he dies.

Socks. She's sleeping. Shh..
7. When your character thinks of his/her childhood kitchen, what smell does he/she associate with it?
Nothing in particular. Her mother was a terrible cook, so they mostly ate take-out.
8. What is one strong memory that has stuck with your character from childhood? Why is it so powerful and lasting?
A little while after she turned seven, she and her parents went on a sort of picnic. The reason it's stuck with her is probably because it was the last time she and her parents had an outing...
9. What quality do they look for most in a love interest?
She never really thought about stuff like that, but she always knew in the back of her mind that she wants what her parents had. She doesn't look for anything particular, but just for someone to accept her even after what she became.
10. What is your character's biggest triumph? Biggest failure?
Biggest triumph--She's managed to evade the corporation all this time. She also ends up finding out the secret they don't want anyone to know.
Biggest failure--Letting Alex die.
