    "For every action there is an equal and opposite re-action." Newton's other laws are usually applied to motions of bodies. This law applies specifically to bodies at rest. Energy is transmitted from bodies in motion to bodies at rest and bodies at rest will require energy proportional to mass (impulse) in order to move or be moved.

    because the phenomena of newton third law is applicable in analyzing impulse,momentum situations.in momentum what we say total momentum before collision=total momentum after collision.and newton third law also state this that action and reaction same in magnitude and opposite in direction(but on two different bodies)
