Does anyone believe in "Better me"?

I've a philosophy that I call "Better me" which I wanted to share. According to it we continuously grow / evolve as a human even if someone isn't willing to do so. Growth implicitly breeds-in competition and comparison starts. I believe every single life is unique and it would be unwise or unfair to compare to anyone else.

That said, it's only fair to compare to self. Everyday morning I ask myself, "How can I be 'Better me' today?"

I would be glad if anyone can criticize this thought.

its a good idea, a decent philosophy...the trick to try to progressively be a better man...

I agree with it. Though "better" can be a lot of different things. It is ok always to try to become a better you. This is called progress and this is what we all should do.

As long as it does not harm, it surely does good. Otherwise, what does not kill you, makes you stronger.
