What can cause a static IP to display on a FB log in if your IP is dynamic?

    You're misunderstanding. You cannot tell if an external IP is dynamic or static just by looking at it. Just because the IP that shows up isn't a 10.x.x.x or a 172.x.x.x or a 192.168.x.x address doesn't mean it's static. Those cannot be your external address (even if your modem has one of those IPs, which means it's just NAT'ed again to an external IP within their network) because they are unroutable on the internet.
