Question about God, please help?

Ok, this may sound like a weird and silly question but this question has been on my heart for a while and I wanted to ask. I am 20 years old and love God with all my heart, and have always went to church and I am involved in my church helping and I am in my churches youth group but there is one question that I have been wanting to ask someone but havent got the nerve up...

Where did God come from? Was he always here? Every body has to have a mom to come from but is this an expection with God? I just dont understand how to got here...

    Good quetion:

Jesus Christ was human for a little while, but He is Spirit now. God isnt human, He is Spirit, so we shouldnt look at Him from human circumstances. God is eternal. He doesnt have a beginning nor end. God was always here. Our minds cant conceive that because we are used to human life, but outside of human life is eternity. We will live forever with God as long as we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

Hey we're the same age! awesome!

It's always good to ask questions I think, it shows you are interested.

Well God is God right, so yes He was always there, He didn't come from anywhere, He is eternal (eternal means no beginning, no ending) God is The Creator (He created everything)

He only became God when He created the Angels, because God means object of worship, you can't be God if there is no one to worship you,

In reality we don't actually come from our mom, we come from our dad, he has the life, mom has eggs. And Eve came from Adam, Adam came from God, pretty awesome, that means we came from God and that makes us? Thats why we are children of God.

You can't see God because seeing is understanding (a blind man wont be able to understand what something is until he can see) therefore we can't see God, if we could, that would mean we understand God then He wouldn't be eternal or God.

We weren't supposed to come from a mother to begin with, when God said reproduce and fill the earth, how do you think Adam was supposed to do it? if you follow your father isn't that how you would do it? God spoke and formed Adam from the dust and breathed life into him, that is how Adam and Eve were supposed to have done it. But something went wrong, I don't know what you learned from your Church, but I'll leave it at that.

    GBU!

If you have questions never feel like it is weird or silly, everything has an answer if your willing to understand, you could ask someone at your church, you might find your not the only one wanting to know the answer.

    hope I've helped!

By the way, I think that Rogers answer is very good and about on the dot, there IS no time for God, He doesn't live in time.

I don't think you would love to hear this answer from a muslim .but i think i can answer this question. Though there is many misconceptions the concept of GOD is similar the Islam and Christianism . Ok the answer : first you have to understand the definations of creator and creation . By defination a creation needs it's creator .but if you ask the question that who is the creator of creator. By defination this question is wrong .so you don't have to think about the answer .coz the question has no base. 1 example - if i ask you to answer in only yes or no and ask that :- have your mother been released from jail ?what will you answer ?there is no right answer for this question. The question is wrong . So you have to learn the concept of God and that is He is one and only . He was there when there was nothing . And he created everything . Don't go beyond that .otherwise you will not get any logical concept . . Hope this answers your question .plz let me know if it help you. May God help you to understand the truth .

The Solid State theory pre-supposed that the universe did not have a beginning. In time cosmic radiation was detected, and powerful telescopes were able to show that the universe is in fact expanding. It was thus ascertained that the universe in fact had a beginning, and the so-called Big Bang theory was adopted at the expense of the Solid State theory.

The Bible simply states at Genesis 1:1, that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, i.e. the universe.

It cannot be, that the Source of time, matter, physical and chemical laws, would in turn have had a beginning. Thus, YHWH traditionally translated in English as JEHOVAH, means: He Who Causes To Become, JEHOVAH does not have a beginning nor an end.

As such, JEHOVAH sent the beginning of His creation, the Word, as a perfect human, to answer the charges made by Satan/ Resister/ Adversary, to act as propitiation, and to reconcile obedient members of mankind.

JEHOVAH cannot DIE, neither can He LIE.

You and I live in a physical world. We live within the limitations of that physical world. Time is a limitation. With every second that passes, there is less and less of it. And matter how fast you run (or fly) it still takes time to go from one place to another.

God lives in the spirit world where these limitations do not exist. And if you believe God created everything, then you must believe he created time. That means God must exist beyond the limitations of time. Otherwise he would subject to the very thing he created. That wouldn't make any sense.

Everybody has to have a mom in the physical world, but again, not in the spirit world. Birth marks the beginning of time for every being that is born. But if there is no time, how can you mark the beginning of something? You can't. God has always existed because in his world there is no time.

The Old Testament adapted Sumerian-Babylonian mythology to the Hebrew ethnic culture. In simple words, trying to explain how the Hebrews are the best Homo Sapiens race on Earth.

Unluckly for them, the monopoly was taken away and generalize to the 4 corners of the world by the Christians.

Unluckly for the Christians, another truth was revealed to Mohammed around 500 AD and that was spread to the other part of the world.

God doesn't have a mom, instead he has too many fathers!

When God answers that one believers will be heaven. That like one of them gold ticket answers that is going to be given on that day.

    Isaiah 41:4 KJV

    (4) Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.

    Psalms 102:24-28 KJV

    (24) I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.

    (25) Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.

    (26) They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:

    (27) But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.

    (28) The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.

    This is Jesus speaking:

    Revelation 22:13 KJV

    (13) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Religion. The belief that there has always been an invisible man and the invisible man magically created the world an two people and these two people turned into billions of people wnd the invisible man threatened all the people with an eternity of torture unless they showered him with praise and built many things in his honor and the invisible man wrote a book through a ghost writer but the people change the book regularly so it means what they want it to mean. All this happened because the man was bored one day. Sounds reasonable.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?

    Then he is not omnipotent.

Is he able, but not willing?

    Than he is malevolent.

Is he both able, and willing?

    Then whence commeth evil?

Is he neither able nor willing?

    Then why call him God.

It is not for us to fully understand god. The beginning of the book of John says "In the beginning there was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" the Word being Jesus. God has been here since the Beginning. Anything more than that, you will have to ask him when you get there :)

It is exceedingly unlikely that something so powerful, intelligent and complicated formed itself or always existed. In everything we know, the trend seems to be that everything complicated comes from simpler beginnings, such as humans evolving from simpler life forms. As such, I find it hard to believe that a god simply always existed and didn't himself come from something simpler. That's what religious people claim, isn't it? Something can't come from nothing. Why not follow the logic?
