My computer went off all of a sudden, did I blow it?
I accidentally plugged in my speakers, while they were on, into another outlet on the side of my computer and it went out, did I blow the computer or the battery by chance?? I am in big trouble if I did and I am not a kid. I wasn't paying attention when I did it. Fingers crossed. Thanks.

I doubt you "blew" your computer since they usually have safety features...
You might have tripped some and the computer went into "cardiac arrest" for awhile. Usually, unplug the battery (take it out) then put it back and press on the power button. It should start. One thing though, I've seen many people damaging their input on the sound card (the input is the place where you plug a mic, right next to the speakers output(or outlet)). When it happens the computer still works and nothing seems wrong but the plugging a mic in would never alow us to record anything...like a blown fuse or something.
So unless you've plugged an amplified signal through the sound card you should be fine!

I doubt you blew anything. You shouldn't need to power off your computer or speakers to plug speakers in. I would remove the speakers, restart your computer... if it doesn't come up, then yes, you blew it and you are in big trouble.

Hi,
The only way is to switch it back on and try it.If it doesn't switch on then I would take it to a computer shop and let them look at it.
Regards.
