Did someone tell you that controlling the ownership of guns involves taking your guns away from you? That person lied to you.

Gun control is about making sure that the owners of guns own them responsibly. They register them, they keep them safely out of the hands of children and criminals, and they know how to use them safely.

Gun control is exactly the same as vehicle control. The car has to be registered, licensed, and the driver has to demonstrate that he knows how to operate it safely.

Gang-bangers don't walk up to you and announce their intentions and give you a chance to grab your own gun - they pop you in the back of the head - you never see or hear it coming - then they take your gun and use it to pop someone else.

I am not born with a gun, so I don't really see a need for it, also the only thing it can really do is shoot and hurt people, and I am not one for increasing probabilities of suffering.
