Airport Shoe Scanners?

X-rays only show an outline image of what is in your luggage and doesn't always show exactly what the items are. The screener obviously saw something he or she wasn't sure about and wanted to give it a second look.

I've had my bag go through for a second look before and then I was cleared to go. I don't know why you were upset, the screener was just doing their job.

If the screeners had to send your bag to be X-rayed again, obviously they saw something that was either not clear or they needed some additional re-assurance before letting the bag through. As for why they sampled your shoes, sometimes they randomly select people and to do additional testing. Don't be offended. I think when they select people of every background, it shows that the TSA is not being racially prejudice as well.

This is becoming common place and it is disgusting. I am going to go out on a limb here and say your a beautiful lady. It is FACT beautiful ladies are scanned and probed much more than others. The TSA are nothing but a group of uneducated security guards with perverted intentions. This whole idea of the American citizens being searched like we were criminals is ridiculous.Some have being humiliated like the guy that had his colostomy bag ripped while being searched and stained his slacks, another lady was told to remove her prosthetic breast. The worst yet to me was the story out of Denver where the TSA guy that was reviewing the scanned people, had a group of young teenage girls that he was caught master baiting to while they were going through the scanner. I am disgusted by this type of nazi government policy so called protecting us. Dont we remember when you sacrifice liberty for security you loose both. Score 1 for terrorists 0 for us.

You'd be surprised. They don't not scan your stuff more just because you look innocent. Plus the outline of you stuff must have been something that alarmed them.
