how can i become more educated about current politics?
I have become very interested in politics. However, I only know a small percent of the big headlines, like many Americans. What can I do to become more informed on issues, current topics and politicians. I know reading/watching the news, but there is so much to take in! How can I get the most well-rounded, unbiased and informative information regarding politics? Which shows should I watch? etc.

not from tv, thats for sure. reading history books, and then taking a look at headlines through your new insight. this will help with all the lying you hear.
if you must, watch red eye, its good for people new to politics because its funny, without all the liberal stuff. the only way you're going to learn anything is to read history

I've been reading Ralph Nader s books. He has been defending the people of America for many many years. I trust him. If your looking for honest. I would put in your Yahoo alerts, Obama, and any other political topic you are interested in. Every new article on the subject will be sent to your in box. You would have to have a lot of time to learn politics from watching C-SPAN. Each topic can go on for an hour and I rarely see anything come of the hearings just all sides of the argument for change. What I have found interesting is these men get up an lie. I can tell which party is speaking by the lies.

Watch Cspan. The Daily Show is good too believe it or not. CNN, MSNBC, and especially Fox, should be avoided if you want unbiased news. All 3 of them talk about Palin, The Tea Party, and celebrity gossip all the time. But I'd say watch Cspan the most, especially when the house or senate are in session.
