Hi Ally , Both Christmas cake and Christmas puddings will keep well and make nice gifts - you can make up a large one and put it into two moulds and just reduce the cooking time. You could make a batch of cookie dough and roll it into a cylinder shape and freeze wrapped in greaseproof paper then filmwrap and freeze, then when you want to bake it you cut slices off while it is still partly frozen and place on a tray and bake from frozen. This will keep them in shape. They can then be iced. Simple mints made with icing/confectioners sugar, flavoured (and coloured) with mint. Mix icing sugar and hot water to a stiff paste and flavour of your choice. pipe "dots" onto a sheet of greaseproof paper and put somewhere dust free to harden for a couple of days, and you have mints these can be dipped in chocolate and given in small paper cases. There are many sites online that you can get inspiration from. i hope this helps, all the best. Rab

Good question-Also Minnie Minoso played in like 3 or 4 decades.Football players usually don't have a long shelf life Blanda and Gary Anderson were both kickers.I would say baseball has the longest.Bonds and Clemens even though there roid heads have lasted pretty long.If your an All-Star in baseball you can last 20 years or so.Not too many Middle linebackers or QBs last more than 7 years IMO.

Look for a recipe for the true perfect brownie.

There won't be much flour in the recipe, but lots of baking chocolate, eggs, butter, sugar.

Under-cook them slightly. Refrigerate before cutting. Cut into small squares and freeze. They will last indefinitely and get better from the freezing.

If you're thinking of cheating by using a brownie mix, this won't work.

    Happy holiday!

Get an easy recipe for macaroons on any baking website, it's a nice treat on xmas. But nothing beats a nice berry cheesecake.

I baked last week. I bought some mini loaf pans and I made little banana breads and blueberry bread and chocolate chip bread. I also made fudge and cookies and everything is in the freezer.
