Why Do Capitalist Countries Have More Freedom Of Speech Than Socialist Countries?
In the U.S you can freely protest on the streets with signs comparing Bush or Obama to Hitler. In Venezuela if protestors came out on the streets with signs comparing Hugo Chavez to Hitler, they would be thrown in prison at best or killed at worst.

Unfortunately your views are totally inaccurate --
As an Australian journalist I have worked in both Capitalist and Socialist countries. I had greater restrictions on me in Cambodia (under the US backed Lon Nol regime) when I was covering stories during the Second Indochina (Vietnam) War, in Malaysia and Singapore which are both avidly anti-communist. Also in Indonesia where I was expelled for writing and doing several TV news stories that annoyed the government. Also in Pakistan which is strongly anti-communist and also Islamic. In fact Pakistan was the most restrictive I have had to work in. I was sent into Pakistan to do a number of stories the local Pakistani TV cameraman could not, or would not, do.
Friends of mine have been expelled from Cambodia under the Lon Nol regime for writing stories that upset the government. Similarly in South Vietnam during the Second Indochina (Vietnam) War and quite a few have been expelled from Indonesia under the Suharto regime. Copies of some magazines have been banned or "blacked-out" in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia while I have been there.
In Singapore there is one man in prison since 1966 who has NEVER been charged or convicted of any crime. He is held under the "Internal Security Act" passed by the British when they controlled Malaysia and Singapore. He spoke out about the one-party government of Singapore.
I have worked in several "Socialist" countries.
There were some restrictions in Laos after the Pathet Lao took control, but I was able to shoot about 90% of what I wanted.
I have worked in Cambodia after the fall of the Khmer Rouge when the government was backed by the Socialist Vietnam. I was able to film over 95% of the stories I wanted with the only restriction was covering anything close to the fighting near the Thai/Cambodian border.
I filmed whatever I wanted in Socialist Vietnam.

Socialism isn't an economy. that must be communism. Socialism is approximately how a society is administered. can we've some "socialist" leanings. valuable. Our equipment is a exceptionally rich mix of lots of ideals. yet we valuable are not communist. examine what actual communism is like and additionally you will understand that we aren't everywhere close to that. Even China isn't in straightforward terms communist anymore. The economy hasn't been nationalized. the federal government is procuring non-vote casting shares of banks to shore them up. whilst issues stabilize and the marketplace is going back to commonly used, the federal treasury gets the money back. it rather is not an acceptable concern inspite of the incontrovertible fact that it beats the alternative of letting the economy crumple thoroughly and having to open soup kitchens and breadlines for the tens of millions with out jobs and residences that ought to result.

Because Americans value personal freedom, the greatest country in the world for that. Apparently other countries, including many in Europe want the government to handle everything, hence the term 'Nanny State'

You lose your freedoms under socialism. That is why Al Sharpton and others like him would like to shut up Talk Radio.~

because we are not commies, nor socialist, you see dictators, commies, and socialist must CONTROL everything, mostly speech because if one speaks out and the message spreads then the people will want freedom again and the CONTROL will fail sooner than later, you see socialism only works when the elite are spending OPM (other people's money) once that runs out only the elites have money and they are not giving up THEIR MONEY to help the masses. -... ....
