My sister in law ( in college) who is completely french has to do an oral, she has to interview an english person. she has to have 10-15 questions and 5 different verb tenses, we're been working on this together for the past 5 hours..and my mind is totally confused. we end up realizing that our questions don't go with the tense we planned for it to be.

Our topic is life as a mom.

    simple past: I went to the mall yesterday.

    question: Did you go to the mall? where did you go?

    past perfect: they had already eaten dinner when I arrived

    question: What had they done when you arrived?

    past continuous: I was reading

    question: What were you doing last night at this time?

    simple present: I go to school on weekdays

    question: what do you usually do on weekdays?

    present continuous: I am reading the newspaper

    question: What are you doing?

    present perfect: I have gone there many times

    question:have you ever gone to Argentina?

    future simple: I will call him tomorrow.

    question:will you come with us?

    future perfect: I will have finished reading that book by the end of this month

    question: what will you have done by the end of this month?

    future progressive: we will be having dinner at 8:00

    question: What will you be doing at 8?

    In the order you listed them:

    She had her baby in the hospital. Did she have her baby in the hospital?

    They had lived in New York before they moved to Hawaii. Where had they lived before they moved to Hawaii?

    He was working at the newspaper in 2003. Was he working at the newspaper in 2003?

    They don't spank their children. Do you spank your children?

    I have never met his mother-in-law. Have you met his brother?

    They are eating dinner now. What are you doing?

    John will graduate in 2012. When will mary graduate?

    John will have been in school for 13 years in 2012.

    They will have been living in the US for five years in January.

    You can just use these as models.
