Why are liberals still in the mindset that banning the private ownership?

In the democrats defense, not all democrats are anti-gun only the cry baby bed wetting liberals are anti-gun, and believe in being politically correct, those are the one we hate. Gun laws only apply to the law abiding citizens, not the criminals, and the liberals are far to stupid to understand that. Murder is illegal, but criminals don't care they think the law only applies to law abiding citizens as the liberals have lead them to believe.

Yep, banning a .50 caliber rifle is the same as banning all hunting rifles, I see you've figured out how that 'attack' on your freedom is serious. This is not the reason why they wish to ban firearms.

The 2nd amendment was put into place because government was given power by the people it governed. If the people in power were unruly, the citizens had the authority and firepower to remove their leaders from office and replace them.

Liberal leaders wish to take away the citizens ability to revolt against them. This way they can commit harm to the country and nobody can stop them from doing so. Think China.

Owning a firearm is a constitutional right and given that, I support it.

However, having people carry them around all the time is just asking for trouble.

You should watch "Cam and Company" on NRA news. They talk about this kind of thing frequently.
