Can I apply to college with a stupid major, then change?

I'd like to know if it would be easier for me to get into a good college by saying I have some random major, and then change to a more common one. I want to study finance, but that is a tad more common than agriculture or something similar. Also, will some schools accept almost anyone for said stupid major? I'd love some examples of how I could best cheat the system to get into the best school to study finance possible.

Update:

I am in a Vo-Ag Program at my school, have been throughout school. I want to study finance. My opinion is that it might be easy for me to attend a school of agriculture and switch last minute.

The facts are it does not matter what you put down that does NOT apply to you getting in. You can be undecided they don't care. If they accept you as a student then they want your money, if you change your mind 10 times they love it! It is more money and win win for them.... No worries you could go and tell them you want to be a Ninja and they wouldn't care.

Don't write down a major you aren't interested in studying. They'll be able to tell from your activities that you probably aren't interested in that field since you haven't done anything related to it, and if the major you want takes a limited number of students, you must be accepted into that program - you can't change to any major, only the ones that don't have class size limits.

Many incoming freshman just say they are undecided. Declaring a major or not declaring a major will not help you get into college. Colleges know that the average students changes majors at least 7 times.
