Yes, either that or Home Alone. I thought Elf was very funny and it was the first film I saw Will Ferrell in.

Nope. Will Ferrell overacts in that movie. The funniest Christmas film ever made was Mixed Nuts.

satisfied Gilmore is up there. plane is hilarious. Monty Python Holy Grail is humorous. Blazin' Saddles (the beans scene) Hangover substitute into especially stable Dumb and Dumber is humorous Meet the parents/Fockers

It's definitely up there, as too would be Home Alone and Bad Santa (although this isn't really a family film)

didn't like it much. i like home alone 1, 2, 3. i like a christmas story. i like jim carey's how the grinch stole christmas. i like christmas vacation. those are my favorite funny christmas movies.

It was fun but "A Christmas Story" cracks me up every time.
