Question about Direct TV - Can i activate a used receiver box?
I just moved into a house and my roommate has direct tv and i was wondering if i could buy a receiver box used off of craigslist or somewhere instead of renting the receiver from direct tv. Could i activate a used receiver and if so do they charge a fee for this? Any help is appreciated thanks.

The cable and sat. providers have to activate one of their boxes for it to work. They won't activate a box you didn't get from them, so buying one from someone who stole it will just be a waste of your money.

verify the previous proprietor would not owe a stability or they wont turn on it. get the rec i.d. # form the corporation and get in touch with directv to work out if its clean. the get admission to card is ineffective,they are going to value $20.00 for a clean one ,payable on the time you request it, greater for convey delivery. and $ 5.00 greater consistent with month for programing. you're able to do the set up your self, your dish has a great form of room for greater rec....in case you in undemanding terms have one now
