Gear stick wobbly when in gear?

had a starter motor replaced recently, now that the car is working i noticed right away theres alot of play with the gear stick when in gear, and for that matter when in neutral. Has something been missed when putting the car back together? Ive seen posts about a spring that keeps it all tight to the right or something? cars a daewoo matiz.

There usually is a small plastic saddle shaped item that goes between the stick and the gearbox that takes up any play. Sound's like it mah have been left off.

Chances are, there is a plastic button looking bushing in the tip of the stick (inside the transmission) that needs to be replaced. I have never worked on a Daewoo, but I do have general knowledge of cars. I have ran into a similar sounding issue with many Toyota trucks and VW's. It is an easy fix and inexpensive for the part.
