Christians Have you read this before....Do you agree?

God Loves us so much that he Sent his Only son to Save us from eternal death. He endured pain and suffering as an outward sign so we would know that God loves us unconditionally, Infinitely. Jesus carried the cross as a sign to us that He will carry the burden of our pain and suffering,

Simon of Cyrene was asked to help Jesus carry the Cross when he fell. This was not random, God prepared a sign to us in that we must not expect Jesus will do it Alone. We must love him back. We must be strong, our trust must be strong, Our faith should strengthen us. Not to just throw our pain and suffering on Jesus shoulders and then leave it all up to him.

A strong person knows how to keep their life in order. Even with tears in their eyes, they still manage to say "I'm ok" with a smile. God is good. God knows our sadness, hard times will soon be over. If you truly believe and Love God , what more could any man or woman need.

Sure, it's an outward sign that God loves us unconditionally, but that's not the whole thing at all. The reason is that there had to be a sacrifice for sin. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. Sacrificing animals in the OT did not help enough to bring us close to the Lord and cause us to keep his commandments.

Since Jesus died he sent the Holy Spirit to all of us who believe in him and have made him our Lord and Savior. The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Hallelujah!

This is something that is overlooked so much of the time. God is powerful and can do all things, but he chooses to just love us. A all powerful being loves me and you and showed it to us in the greatest way ever. People love to call on God when they are in trouble because they think things will magically be fixed. We are supposed to claim what we want in the name of Jesus....and....then....we are too be proactive in our faith. Being a christian does not mean being soft or illogical. Once you have asked God for what you need and you have faith that it will happen, then you have to show him you truly have faith by being proactive. You never know but while you are putting in the hard work you just may come across the blessing you have been asking for.

I'd disagree with 'a strong person knows how to keep their life in order' because sometimes, someone's life can be thrown into disarray in the blink of an eye, and it's not simple to put back together. All in all, when such things happen, it's for us to lean on Him to get strength to go through it.

Hard times are not necessarily going to be over soon, either. The Christian road is not an easy one to travel, and Satan will sometimes target us the most. It's an uphill battle, but we keep strong with God's help until He comes again.

I am sorry, but no I don't think this is a very good teaching. Sounds like a something I'd hear from a legalistic preacher- or Roman Catholic!

We CAN just throw our pain and suffering on Jesus!

I have no power of my own. It is because of Jesus that I CAN "be strong". Yes, Jesus did it alone- He doesn't need any of our "help".

I think this sort of sermonette produces people who think they can't ever admit they ARE in dire need and have reached the end of their rope!

They would think that to admit they have reached the end of their rope and are in a bit of despair with no where to go, that if they admit it- they would be called "a bad Christian"!!!!

That would be awful.. We are to: 1Pe 5:7 all your care having cast upon Him, because He careth for you.

i'm a christian and i think that heaven is where god is and i think that the fact his son suffered so much humility and indignation for our sins and iniquities is an awesome thing. you absolutely have to bear witness in action to Jesus' teachings in order to become "perfect" like the father wants us to be. it is a continuous journey and it's very rich fulfilling and brings great peace and all the anxiety goes away

However, don't, forget that Jesus carried that cross so you could be saved by his grace, anyone could be saved by his grace

I have heard this before.. and I totally agree with what it's saying...

but Jesus didn't carry the cross alone up the hill? I thought he did..

But yes I understand what it's saying and I myself know I need to

    grow stronger in him.

Yes. I do agree. This is all very true. You are able to say "I'm OK" because you know that God will bring you through whatever you happen to be going through. So everything might not be alright, but you know that it will be. & that there is no need to worry. God's got your back! :)

I most certainly do agree with this. God Is Love.
