Need a Concrete Fastener Recommendation?

I want to bolt down my pool filter and pump on a concrete slab, BUT, i want to be able to remove the bolts (remove the bolts and equipment in the winter)

What is a good reliable outdoor concrete fastener to do this?

Simson makes an epoxy, bolts, etc. that are structurally sound (used to tie buildings to foundations).

It may be a little overkill but it works really well.

    Good Luck!

Something called "RED Heads" Or any number of similar fasteners.

Go to your local hardware and ask. Just don't use Lead-shields, They'll only loosen up after one use.

The red head type fasteners use a machine screw instead of a lag bolt. Therefore make removing and refastening them much easier.

You might consider a stainless steel anchor called a "strike anchor". Setting is done by the installer so it is a bit more likely to hold when compared to those that depend on friction to be anchored.

First, you'll need drill bits that are made to tap into concrete. They are masonry bits. Then, you'll need bolts that are referred to as anchor bolts to thread into your tap holes.

Best way ever. drill a hole with a hammer drill that will fit a wedge anchor, drill the hole all the way through the concrete and into the dirt( or at least the lenght of the anchor plus one inch) when you are done with the anchor just remove the nut and hammer the anchor into the hole

we set threaded rod into the concrete you can also drill into the pad and set rods with epoxy. then the base fits over the threaded rod and a washer and nut goes on.
