What is a good tattoo practice skin?
I was using grapefruit to practice on but I finally decided to spend some money on actual tattoo practice skins. Problem is they seem to stain so easily that i cant tell if im doing a good job or not. I have a real tattoo gun and have been learning from video's this is something i actually want to do for a living so if someone can explain to me how to use these skins properly or what a better brand of skin is I would appreciate it.
I cant keep raw skin in storage and im currently in korea so raw meat seems like a bad idea since i cant go to the hospital if I catch something

Hi!
I'm a tattoo artist myself and i usually ask my students to buy the
"5x Large Sheets Of Tattoo Skin 8X12 Inches" from Amazon for around $27. You can use them front and back so it's really awesome.
In order to use these skins properly, NEVER practice on flat surfaces because it would be unrealistic. Set it up somewhere uneven and imperfect surfaces are okay because human skin is imperfect anyway. Once you feel more confident, go buy pig skin from your local butcher because the texture and pigment is almost identical to human skin.
With enough practiise you would be able to get used to it in no time at all.

The TV programme "Mythbusters" use pig carcasses for anything involving monitoring effects on human skin or flesh, as it is very close in texture. They used large pieces of pig skin to test a myth concerning magnets and tattoos (don't ask!) Try contacting a slaughterhouse directly, as they will be able to provide you with pieces that aren't fit for sale for consumption, but may be suitable for your requirements.

I saw an episode of Mythbusters where they used a pig hide to tattoo because it's close to human skin. If you have a local butcher, they may be able to sell you some scrap skin or something. Ah, my apologies, after reading your additional details, I withdraw my answer.
