The young Sanchez would have been too much at 120lbs. it would have looked like the Morales vs. Pacquiao first fight. The older, more polished Pacquiao would have his way with him, but then again we'll never known if Salvador could have successfully went up in weight or how good he could have gotten because he was already the man at such a young age. I still see Manny as being a little better athlete though, faster, hits a little harder, I'd give Sanchez the slight advantage on chin, even on conditioning, both have a lot of heart. It'd be a great fight.

Pacquiao is unpredictable fighter when he was on a featherweight.

If this to warrior fight on a featherweight and Pacquiao ability is also when he was on the featherweight division (a one dimensional fighter but more exciting ), I'll go for Pacquiao, even he has a least chances. Pacquiao trowing many punches with no tomorrow and have a lack of defence.

Salvador Sanchez is one of the great featherweight fighter and Pac is not a skilled on featherweight by many experts. He only fight with his heart until he improved. But he can win anyone on a featherweight.

Pacquiao by TKO or Salvador Sanchez by UD

p.s. > I didn't compare Pacquiao now vs. Sanchez Prime because Pacquiao on a Welterweight is too much for Sanchez.

Presumably this fight would be held at feather, because Sanchez never fought above 126 lbs and at featherweight Manny Pacquiao wasn't the fighter he is today. Sanchez on the other hand was a top ten all time great featherweight, a beast in the ring who destroyed many opponents and I think he would have been too much for Pacquiao and won by KO in around 12.

At any higher weight though I would pick Pacquiao.

it would be a great, great match. most people would likely pick salvador sanchez as most of us give too much credit for old school boxers. salvador sanchez have earned all the accolades and he is indeed an all time great specially at featherweight but if he would face the manny pacquiao of today which is a complete beast then he would be in his hardest fight ever. sanchez will never loose poise. he never gets rattled. he is a smart fighter that is also gifted with power but so is manny pacquiao. i dont think salvador would be able to keep up with manny's amazing handspeed and footwork. as great as salvador was, i dont think he has faced a man in manny who can throw punches that would last a round and would come from all angles. i see this fight lasting the distance. there might even be knockdowns. i cant see sanchez knocking down pacman as manny has shown he can take bigtime punches even from bonafide middleweights so it will be a very bad night for sanchez. id favor manny to win this fight via decision if the fight took place at 126 and a late stoppage on any division higher than featherweight.

Isn't Pacquiao a little too big for Sanchez? Sanchez primed at featherweight (126) and Pacquiao is optimal at 135-140.

If this is a prime vs prime match Pacquiao would be too much for Sanchez it would look close to a beatdown. If you are talking about the pre-prime featherweight version of Pacquiao though then it's a close call where Sanchez may edge him out on points.

@Blog- I think he means this as a prime vs prime match. Not Pacquiao in those days, who is obviously a different version from the ring monster we see now.

I have Sanchez winning unanimously at 126 and 132 but I have Pacquiao winning the fights at 135 to 140.

Sanchez was a beast at featherweight, but I think we would get slower as he goes up in weight and start losing the snaps on his punches.

Pacquiao is just better at 135 to 147, back in featherweight, Pacquiao kept getting by with his simple jab jab cross. He still does it, but its less predictable and a lot crisper.

Manny Pacquiao has stronger very a lot for the reason that his days as a featherweight. He changed into tremendous then yet he had his faults, as were referred to in his first strive against antagonistic to Erik Morales. Pacquiao regarded flat in that strive against yet, nonetheless, judging by kinds, he'd have his fingers comprehensive antagonistic to Sanchez. something Morales can do, Sanchez did more desirable suited. He had equivalent skill, swifter fingers and a more desirable suited chin. He also boxed smarter than Morales. The featherweight version of Pacquiao changed into very aggressive. HIs southpaw type and quick fingers might want to offer Sanchez very a lot of worry. Pacquiao may lead on factors contained in the early going. A knockdown, scored by Sanchez in round six, evens issues up slightly. by round ten, Sanchez has pulled away on the score playing cards. in spite of the indisputable fact that, Pacquiao bravely fights on and receives decrease back into the strive against with a large rally in round 13, just about sending Sanchez to the canvas. Sanchez wins the perfect 2 rounds enormous. Sanchez W15.
