What are some gory animes?

Im a big fan of this genre as well so u should definately check these series out. Some of what I'm gonna list is repeats of past answers but thats just to emphasise the greatness!!!

Gantz: Definately the number one on the list here, as its a sci-fi series with tons and tons and TONS---I mean bucket loads of gore and explosions of blood. The stories very interesting and mysterious but the anime doesnt come to a very good conclusion-But its a must watch! If u havnt seen this u havnt lived!!!

Elfen Lied: Yeah this is cool haha. U get to even see their bones in their fingers when their fingers are cut off and its got a pretty decent story. One warning tho, watch it in japanese as the english voice acting sucks.

Berserk: Fantasy type anime. A man named Guts wields a huge broadsword slashing and hacking monsters and humans alike. Its a great anime. DUDE WATCH>Excellent storyline.

Higurashi: A bunch of kids go crazy in this one. And start killing each other. But it may be slightly annoying as its very 'cutesy' it sepends on what u like dude.

Also try Speed Grapher: altho i found this slightly pointless. But u may not. a photographer can kill people with his camera. they blow up lol.

Shigurui: Death Frenzy

Togainu no Chi has a lot of blood. You can watch that series on ANN as they're the only site that's simulcasting the series.

Even though it's stated that it's a shonen-ai series, Togainu no Chi isn't so much shonen-ai at all.

Gantz. It's definitely in the top 3 anime ever.

Blood + excellent plot, has gore, good soundtrack, and a lot of episodes
