So my friend was telling me about the Declaration of Independence?
And she's trying to tell me the people who wrote it, were drunk while they were "brainstorming" for it. She said they were really wasted....like John Adams and John Hancock were **** faced while coming up with our country's most famous document ever written....anyone have any LINKS please help me

Thomas Jefferson wrote most of it on his own in his room at the boarding house in which he stayed. After that John Adams looked it over and offered no changes before submitting it for approval to the Continental Congress which proposed several changes. Usually, the Congress was not drunk.

Wow. That seems like she didn't mean it. I'm pretty sure that isn't true. So don't listen to her
