Now that "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" has been repealed, do you think millions of gays will start enlisting?

I can just see them all celebrating this victory while NONE of them particularly had any incentive whatsoever to enlist...either before or after!!

Which leads me to ask, "why did you care about it anyway?"

Update:

To Ooh la la---well, its a little like a group not wanting to be excluded from a club....moving successfully for the club to change its rules...and then none of them join the club anyway.

No, but those who are already enlisted will feel less tension and be able to do their job better.

Now that has to be a good thing, doesn't it!

What makes you think that none of them actually intended to enlist anyway? What makes you think that they only celebrate because they're gays? You have no data or statistics to actually prove what you just said.

Why did you care about them wanting to enlist or not anyway? Discrimination much

laugh until i cry. You think the military is not already well stocked with gay people? This just gives those who put their life on the line for this country the opportunity to be honest about who they are.

I think there were already a lot of gay people in the armed forces. They just had to be quiet about it.

no they will just come out of the , and why do I care? I do not like to be discriminated against and this will make it harder for discrimination against me and other gays in other areas
