What amount should I expect to pay for car insurance on a 2010 Camaro? I'm 18 years old.?

I am just finally getting my license.

I go to the North Carolina School of Science and Math, have scored an 800 on multiple SAT Subject Tests (2190 on my SAT), and have made straight As throughout high school.

I've also attended a driver's education class (while this applies more to driver's insurance instead of car insurance, I'd assume it still carries some weight).

The Camaro is a 2010 V6 LT1.

Am I going to have to pay like hell to afford this?

Update:

As for why I took so long, the school that I go to is a special boarding school. Unfortunately they're bastards and don't allow us to have cars at school. I'm only home about 20 days during the school year so it doesn't make sense economically to pay drivers insurance that whole time.

You are in the 16-25 age demographic which, collectively, is the group with the worst driving history. You'll pay high premiums for car insurance until you grow out of that age group.

As a side note, why do you need a 2010 Camero for your first car, (I know. It's a pu**y magnet)? Statistically, most young, inexperienced drivers will wreck, or seriously damage their first car. Why not be money wise and get a used, 4 cylinder sedan for a while. They're cheap to buy, insure, license, maintain, and operate, and if you wreck it who cares. It's just an old beater. Wouldn't you cry watching that nice new Camero being hauled off to a scrap yard?

I might suggest one to try this web page where you can compare rates from different companies: http://insuranceforcheap.info/index.html?src=3YAuc...

relies upon the place in Liverpool, what automobile, and an entire load of alternative issues, and likely travelling a comparisson website could be terrific, yet while that is lots below £4000 i could be stunned as an 18 365 days olf male new driving force in an excellent city, with a small automobile that's 5 or so years previous.
